The key sale looks nice on the surface, it brings the per-key cost down into microtransaction levels (which is defined as about the price of a cup of coffee), which is great.
Now if STO could make the package smaller without raising the per-key price they would probably start flying off the shelf as all the casuals with fixed income or other tight budgets who cannot afford to spend large chunks of cash in one month (but still spend a little when they can) pick up a few keys to try their luck, and they are the ones most likely to try that.
