Unable to use KDF Cardassian BOFF... even though it says KDF the BOFF won't join as it's says it's FED

The game often assigns icons to Boffs per *your* allegiance, not the Boff.
You're playing as KDF means the Boff is getting the KDF Boff icon, even though the Boff is Fed.
Annoying, isn't it?

Where did you source these Bridge Officers from?
If they came from the Duty Officer missions, then they are definitely bugged.
If you bought them from the exchange, then you bought the wrong ones.
In the Exchange, Bridge Officers tend to correctly show their faction-appropriate icon. However, once they are in your Inventory/Recruit Roster, they will always show up with *your* allegiance icon. Thus, you get Fed-Boffs with a KDF-Icon.
