Cannot Donate Colony Fleet Holding Items

I am aware of the issue where some people cannot donate when they have less than 10 items (batteries, ore, luxury). This appears to be related but slightly different. If I get 100 items, I can only donate 91 even if the holding project needs 1,000. No matter what I do I always end up with 9 left in my inventory. If I delete those 9 and start over it happens again. I currently have 5 characters with this going on.

Anyone else have this and is there a solution? I reported it via a support ticket and they just told me to post here. Joy.

Often, I find the slide to donate items 'defaults' to an amount which is more than what you have.
If you only have 10 items, the slider might default to donating 20, which it starts to donate (taking 1 from your Inventory) but then realises you cannot donate 20 as you only have 10. So, it stops donating, leaving you with 9 of the 10 items you originally had.

The situation is similar with other amounts: you try to donate 100 and it defaults to 200, etc.

Whilst the 'donation mechanism' isn't actually broken, it still isn't working properly.
