Narrative does not recognize character name change at "Birth".

I contacted ARC and they suggested posting this here as they believe I have encountered a bug in the game.
Let me post my issues and discussion with ARC.
Query: Changed my name to M**** when I started the character. Displays on the character choice log in screen as M****, and it says M**** on the left side in game on the character/ship/bridge officer selection pop up, but the narrative still calls me the default name of Tovak. And on the in game selection pop up, even though it says M**** correctly on the left side, still says Tovak on the character.

Response: Restarting has no effect. It’s appearently been that way since “birth”. Level 48 now.
Never had the issue on my other toons, 6 more. I’ve always renamed at “birth”. Never used a token.
