Everyone knows the dilithium exchange is F'd right now. It's backed up for 3-5 months. There are millions upon millions of dilithium in the game right now, and that number grows every day, but very few people willing to sell zen, especially not at a price of 500 dilithium per zen sold, which has been the cap for... what, 6 years now? 8 years? More?
Now you've gone and added absolutely ridiculous costs to the new fleet items, in a vain attempt to balance things out. A new fleet admiralty ship or DOFF costs the equivalent of 600,000 dilithium. At 500 dil/zen, that's 1,200 zen for a duty officer or admiralty card, or 12$. Who the hell is going to spend that much on a duty officer that offers absolutely no benefits over what can be obtained elsewhere for cheaper or even free? Much less an admiralty card (most of us have dozens of these already) that offers no unique benefits? Hell, you can spend less than 100k dilithium to pick up basic ships in-game that come with an admiralty card included. The only new duty officer worth even considering is the voth, which give the same active roster effect as graga mal. Last I checked, graga cost about 30 million credits. You can spend 500 zen on a fleet module or ship upgrade token and sell it for more than that.
Remove the cap. Allow the economy to regulate itself. I might be willing to sell my zen if I could get 750, 1000, 1500 dilithium per for it, and people would pay that right now in order to dump their millions of dilithium and pick up zstore items. The 500 limit is a relic of a time when the economy wasn't absolutely oversaturated with dilithium, and it no longer works.
