Experimental Ship Upgrade Token

I upgraded one of my ships on my main toon with an Experimental Ship Upgrade Token. But it upgraded the ship the rest of my toons except for one (at least the ones I have activated the ship on). It is requesting for me to manually use a token to upgrade the ship instead of it doing it automatically like it suppose too. Any assistance would be appreciated, thank you.
