Hi ho ho...
As I mentioned in another post, I more than likely will have a bunch of questions about the game I'd like to ask, so I figured that it was time I got down to it (if that is ok with you all); so here we go...
1) How long does it generally take for something to sell on the exchange? I know the exchange can be a bit... borked from Ork... but only generally speaking, what can I look forward to when I put something in it to sell (even when I put it in for a way lower price than the going rate)? What has your experience been?
2) What ship's have the highest natural Hull Rating at level 65, and in fact how high can it go? Also, does any ship or ship's come with its/their own natural Damage Reduction, and if so, what are those ship's? I "assume" that they would be Carriers, but that could be wrong of course.
3) I currently have 15 passengers in my main ship; so how did I get them, why did I get them, and what exactly are they used for (if anything)? Do I have to drop them off somewhere, or do they live with me permanently, and if so where & how do I do that? If they do live with me from now on, I'm gonna start charging rent lol.
4) How exactly do I do the "Assignment Chains"? I currently have two of them, and in each I see no option or button to hit to do them. So how do I do these chains?
5) Where do I pick up or buy the Inventory that are required to start & complete my Duty Officer Assignments? And in fact, how many of each should I buy in advance (as there seems to be a lot of them)?
6) Where exactly can I buy "Elite Fighters", such as the "Elite Alliance Fighter"? My main ship (the Xindi-Primate Ateleth Dreadnought Cruiser) has one fighter hanger, and as such I want the best fighters I can get for it and use. Also, do any of you have any suggestions on any other fighters I could get, that do not require me to have a specific Starship to have first?
7) And now the question I am sorta dreading the answer too: What is the best, and easiest way to get Keys for lock boxes? So far in the roughly three(?) weeks I have played, I have yet to get any "Key" drops. As such, I have not been able to open any of the lock boxes that I have; and yes I know that the odds are against anyone getting something great from a lock box, so the Key's are sold instead (for like roughly 12 million credits right?), but it would be nice to have a way to get them without spending real money to get them if I can avoid it

.
Anywho, I guess seven questions is a good start, so I will end it here for now. Thank you for your time reading, and I look forward to any & all help you can give me in answering these questions of mine...
Peace...

I'm not 100% certain of the answer here, but cruisers and dreadnoughts are likely your best choice here due to their 'tanky' nature. I believe the cap on hull is 200k, if there is one.
Escort-style ships, being the most manoeuvrable and good for dealing damage, tend to have the lowest hull - the theory here being that you blow stuff up asap before it blows you up!
Colonists come from Duty Officer and Admiralty missions. They're sometimes a resource needed for Duty Officer missions too. Look for Star Clusters around the galactic map - Delta Volanis, etc.
These each have a Colonisation chain of assignments and will often use up colonists faster than you can acquire them!
(If you're playing KDF, you can also sell your colonists to Orion Slavetraders.)
Assignment Chains can be quite frustrating. Some show up frequently, others can seem to take ages before the nest part will show up.
The STO Wiki sometimes has a map for where you can sometimes find the next part of the chain, but there's no hard and fast guarantee...
Usually, the further along in the chain you are, the trickier it is to find the next part.
Your Inventory has a Replicator that can be used to replicate most Duty Officer assignment requirements, but there's a few vendors scattered around the galaxy that you can buy them cheaper. Unfortunately no vendor has every single item with the possible exception of Freighters. You can ask in chat if anyone can offer a Tuffli or Suliban Cell bridge invite as these player ships have vendors.
The blue-quality hangar items usually come on the ship, and can also be bought from most ship equipment vendors.
Purple-quality 'Advanced' versions can be found in the Dilithium Store but the 'Elite' versions tend to only be found in Fleet Stores.
The only source of Keys is the Z-Store. They do not ever drop as lootable items.
However, these Keys are not bound and can also be listed on the Exchange, but prices can vary wildly. The last time I looked, they were around 8 to 10 million EC and I expect they'll be more expensive by now.
There's a Ferengi on Drozana station that will offer you some sample Lobi boxes and sample keys that open them (turn right out of the transporter room and take the next left - the Ferengi is the first on the left).
However, don't expect to get anything exciting, and he only offers them once per account, not per character.
(I'm not sure if he still does the freebies as it has been quite some time since I spoke with him...)
Have a look here at starship mastery packages. Some ships (i.e. cruisers) will have some resists and additional regen listed.
If they are Colonists you could have gotten them from some Admiralty assignments or by doffing. They can be used in some Fleet projects for Fleet credits, sold on the exchange for EC, or used in a Deport Colonists duty officer assignment from your doffing Operations department head for a 500 dilithium reward. The mission Resettle Colonists is available from the same dept head while in space.
Start the assignments when they come up. Some will take a fair while. Keep an eye out. There's lots of them at fixed points such as Clusters and Nebula that can reward nice doffs but others seem to just come up at times in sector space. Check the "Assignment Chains" tab on your doff menu for a list of missions you started and the rest of the missions in the chain.
I usually just purchase them as needed. Additional commodities can be rewarded from scavenging missions from your Diplomacy/Marauding dept head and some other doff missions while in sector space.
If you like to use pets the three admiral rank Coordination Protocols in your skill tree in the tactical section will help buff your pets (and team mates).
Also the "sub-tracks" under your skill tree (the horizontal blue lines) can offer "hanger weaponry" and "hanger health" node choices that could be options if you decide to become a regular carrier captain.
This console from the exchange can be helpful to your pets.
Blue pets are cheap and a good place to start. They do fine.
I don't gamble. If I ever buy keys with cash or in-game earnings they get sold on the exchange until I have enough EC to directly purchase what I want with a 100% chance of success. Keys never "drop" as rewards.

You can sort that table. HurQ dreadnought carrier is on top, followed by Emerald Chain Intel Juggernaut, then vorgon carrier,
1) Is the one which you can buy for I believe 2,500 Zen a T5 ship, or a T6 ship instead?
2) The other version of the ship, which looks like a Fleet one if I am not mistaken... is that also a T5 ship or a T6 one?
3) Is it possible to make a Tier 5 ship like this into a Tier 6 ship, and if so, how exactly? In fact, can a tier 6 ship be leveled up into becoming a Tier 6+ ship too?
4) Looking at the Wiki, both ships (the T5 & T6 versions) look to only have up to a Tier 4 Mastery level. Is this correct, and if so why? Also, is there any way to increase this Tier 4 Masterly level to Tier 5 instead? If so how exactly?
4) As a Tier 5 ship, how good is it over all (generally speaking)? And is it worth getting, either threw buying it outright with Zen, or getting it via a Fleet? In fact, which version is the better ship? The normal Zen bought one, or the Fleet(?) one?
I ask these things because the Caitian Atrox Carrier looks to be a very cool ship, and a carrier to boot, and is one that is on my "wish list" of ships to get (somehow). So I figured I would come here and ask you great knowledgeable folks about it well before I went about trying to get it one way or another. Anywho, thanks again for your time, and as always...

This the the Fleet version of the 2500 Zen Tier 5 ship in your first question - Fleet Caitian Atrox Carrier. So it would have one extra console slot (10 total), and better hull and shield modifiers (about 10% more hull and shield). It's still Tier 5.
You can't make a Tier 5 ship into a Tier 6.
If you get the Fleet version of a Tier 5 ship and add an Upgrade Requisition you'll end up with a Tier 5 Fleet Upgrade ship that has +1 console from being Tier 5 Fleet and another +1 console from the upgrade (so 11 total, the same as a Tier 6 ship) as well as an extra (10% or so) hull and shields over base Tier 5 base but it still won't have the extra bridge officer (boff) ability or boff slot with a specialization that a Tier 6 ship has.
Here's the Tier 6 version of the Atrox - Caitian Aspero Support Carrier.
The tactical boff slot has gone from Lieutenant to Lieutenant Commander (the extra boff slot - very handy) and the LtC science boff position is now universal and can use the Command specialization (also handy).
It also has an extra console slot and extra hull and shield as compared to Tier 5 base for a total of 10. This Tier 6 ship gets +1 console slot in it's own Fleet version (we're at 11 now) and another universal console slot if you use an Experimental Ship Upgrade Token on the it for a total of 12 console slots. Only Miracle Worker ships get yet another universal console slot for a grand total of 13 slots possible.
You may have been looking at the Tier 5 or Fleet Tier 6 versions of the mastery. Only non-Fleet Tier 6 ships have a fifth starship mastery trait which is often the focus of getting a non-Fleet Tier 6 ship. Owning a non-fleet ship reduces the number of Fleet Ship Modules needed to get the Fleet version from 5 to 1.
In my opinion the only reason to get a Tier 5 ship is to unlock a specific ship skin (appearance) or a special console only available on that ship.
That being said, Tier 5 ships should do very well for almost anything in the game BUT the Tier 6 version for an extra $5 provides better value (imo).
The higher performing ship is going to be the Tier 6. Better yet Tier 6 Fleet with experimental upgrade.
T5 ->T5 F -> T5 FU -> T6 -> T6 F -> T6 FX (hope this is clear lol)
In this case, going by the wiki link, it appears as if the Tier 6 Aspero does come with the Tier 5 Atrox skin but you might want to confirm with somebody here that owns it.
Wow the ship tier thing really makes for a lot of typing..
They're carriers (especially on a tetryon build) which you know in advance that they're not going to be effective or High DPS dealers, but they have their charm and get normal/advanced content done without problems.
If you plan on getting these, do so because you love the ship and theme. This is because the console layout, boff layout, console, pets and overall stats are not great.

It's in the same ballpark as the Jupiter Carrier
https://sto.fandom.com/wiki/Jupiter_Carrier
Which is generally considered to have few, if any, redeeming qualities.
It is my believe that any ship can be made useful in normal/advanced content. but these ships make this especially challenging.
I also find that the Gravity Well power is a interesting ability as well, and I am slowly learning how best to use it. As far as the ship's DPS is concerned, with what I have slotted in the Tactical consoles (x3 Tetyron Pulse Generators), it does fairly good damage overall. Though I do have a question regarding the Tetyron Beam Arrays'; which are the better Beam weapons? Tetyron's beam weapons, or Disruptor Beam weapons? As I use Beam overload, I was wondering which would be better DPS wise (or even Proc wise).
Of course, the only thing I wish was better on the ship was it's speed & turning rate, but as I am used to using Cruisers, it is something I can work with even though I wish it was better. I would try to improve on it, but at the moment I don't want to sacrifice any of the items I have placed in my Engineering, Science, or Tactical Consoles. So if anyone could suggest some options to get my ships speed & turning rate up (maybe with my Impulse engines or Boff abilities?) I would appreciate it.

Energy type can be chosen based on what your favorite color is or by the availability of supporting set pieces from the storyline and reputations. Disruptor might be a little better off in this respect.
House Martok Skirmisher Set For disruptor the 2 piece console and omni is superb as it gives + CrtH. The console by itself is also very good on any build. It increases your turn rate and engine power.
Emergency Conn Hologram (FED) Slot emergency power to engines instead of EPtShields for more speed and faster turning. With this active duty doff using EPtE will also reset Evasive Maneuvers. Works like a charm. Available via a Phoenix prize pack token.
Prevailing Regalia Fortified Engines These reputation engines give you a significant speed boost when triggered. They come in three different types but the Fortified are often considered the most predictable.
Auxiliary to Inertial Dampers This boff ability can help. There's a related active duty doff that can keep this ability up longer that also adds energy damage resistance.
Deuterium Surplus These are craftable once unlocked.
You see, I have a old friend that I video chat with generally every week or so, and talking about STO, she wants to see the game in action while I am playing it (she IS a big time old school Star Trek fan). However after trying to screen share with Duo, it not only kills the audio between us, but most times causes either Duo or the game itself to crash out sadly. So I was wondering if any of you knowledgeable helpful folks would know of any video chat system which not only has a "share screen" option, but will work with STO? Being as I don't know too much about any of this video chat stuff in conjunction with gaming (especially with STO), I figured I would ask about it here in the hopes that someone could suggest some options that would work. Thanks again...

Ok, I guess no one can suggest an answer to my last question above, so I guess it's time for yet another one.
However upon using it, I discovered something. None of my bridge officers' or abilities therin are showing up in my Space stations at all; not a single one, even though they do show up in my Ground stations. I have added a couple of screenshots to this post to show you what I mean (one is my ship itself, and the other is my stations tab). So my question is this... why isn't my Bridge Officers showing up at all, and how do I fix it? And what's really weird about this, is that a few of my officers abilities are showing up on my taskbars while I am in space.
Is it because I am using the Styx by chance, as it is a T6 ship and is scaling to my level currently (which as you can see is 10th atm)? When I was using the Miranda, the Bridge Officers did show up in my space stations tab, but now that I am using the Styx, they aren't.

Edit: It was switching starships (in space) and then back that worked for me. Found the bookmarked answer here. Hope it works for you.

I recently saw the Prometheus in action on Youtube, and was very impressed with it and its ability to separate into three distinct vessels. However, doing a bit of research, I couldn't find out much information on it, like if it is a good ship (and why), is it a T5 ship or T6, and if it is it's a Science, Cruiser, or Tactical Vessel. Heck, I am confused about its ability to separate into three Vessels as it almost seems that other ships can as well.
Would that be its variants, and if so, what are they exactly, and are any of them T6's? In fact, I haven't even got a clue as to what type of build would be best for it (like a beam build or a torpedo one for example). So if anyone could please give me a great lesson on the ship (including where I might be able to get one), I would really appreciate it. Thanks again folks...

Have you looked here ....... https://sto.fandom.com/wiki/Prometheus_Class_Escort
In addition, for such a ship with that ability, how the heck does one slot the ship or make a good build for it? Are you able to slot each section separately (for example)? Or can you only slot the ship as if it was only a singular ship, and not one that can split into three separate ones? While the concept looks very cool, how does it compare overall to other more "standard" singular ships (T5 & T6 ones)? Sorry, but I think I just need someone to explain things better then just te Wiki, which doesn't even come close to answering my questions lol.
Peace...
Someone better with ship knowledge will answer any questions you have.
The STO wiki has much of the information you seek, it was just you were given the link to the NPC ship before. Try this one: https://sto.fandom.com/wiki/Prometheus_class
It'll list all the variants of the ship. What might be very confusing for a new player is the whole Tier 5/6 debacle and the fleet variants of each version. Basically just always remember that Tier 5 ships are basically obsolete - do not purchase a Tier 5 ship unless you exactly know why you are doing it. Tier 6 ships are always superior, usually come with everything the T5 variant had (often in an improved version) AND can be used by any character regardless of their level. Tier 5 ships are a relic from back in the day when they marked the top-tier. And you have to purchase the T6 C-store version of the ship to acquire the multi-vector console. Fleet variants do not come with that console, but they can equip it and use the multi-vector separation mechanic once they have the console equipped.
