    The Vault is also pretty easy if you can get the Romulan runabout. Cloak up and fly right past most of the fights - the only unavoidable combat inside the Vault itself is after you dodge the Mogai heavy warbird, and there's no time to cloak back up before you face the three Scorpion-class fighters on the other side of the door. The fight outside is annoying mostly because you have to shoot the fighters without the benefit of sensors to spot them, and you have to look for their little trails so you can make sure you're facing toward them before tab-targeting them; the instructions say to shoot the torpedoes too, but the Lhasa can tank those just fine herself.

    Not what I meant, I mean the trip in and then the trip back out.I

    Firepower isn't an issue, I have consoles up the wazoo for that. JH Fighter does the trick nicely.

    Every mission where you are forced to play as someone else like that stupid TRIBBLE Klingon. You should NEVER be forced to play as someone else's character in an RPG. Also, any mission where you are forced to pilot a dev-outfitted ship. Seriously, they're horrendously bad. Mix of beams and cannons? Go for it! And sensible button layouts are for losers! Just slap them across the board haphazardly, what could go wrong?

    Has no dev ever read the "How to build a TRIBBLE ship" thread on Reddit?

    Generally agreed, but I make an exception for the mission where you play ferryman for Quark and company, because I find it amusing. Bonus points for Quark managing to outwit T'Ket.

    I don't like Dust to Dust either, I have never been able to get through the last puzzle.
    How could I forget "Kurland here!", it's the only older mission moved to the dusty corner I don't like in fact. Especially if you want the weapons.

    Just imagine a horror-story style mission on DS9 where 'Kurland WAS here' is on the wall in blood.

    But its also a running joke now. It was in Midnight and the recent revamp of Forged in Fire.

    Hands down Dust to Dust. Not just because I find the whole jumping puzzle to be agonizingly annoying and illegitimate in a MMO, but also because I generally dislike anything associated with the Kobali, after being passively-aggressively forced to side with them during the Kobali-Vaadwaur conflict, even though their actions were just as condemnable as the Vaad's.

    The Vault.

    Hands down my least favorite episode to play and I avoid it like the plague on all my toons. Actually, any of the shuttlecraft story missions and TFO's aren't that fun to play.

    The Vault.

    Hands down my least favorite episode to play and I avoid it like the plague on all my toons. Actually, any of the shuttlecraft story missions and TFO's aren't that fun to play.

    The Vault is also a royal pain to do. =(

    Resident TOS, G.I. Joe, Transformers and hair metal fangirl.

    And knowing is half the battle!

    I'm not a fan of the whole romulan arc. Colusseum, minecraft, vacation on Hoth, Vault, the Uber mission.. Pull THEM from the game and put back the B'vat missions

    How about let's not remove content. I also want those missions back. Let's face it most players have a mission they really do not like. I personally don't hate any but do wish Dust to Dust had been done differently and for them to implement the suggestion of the timer increased from what it currently is. Otherwise, it can get very frustrating!

    I don't want the B'vat arc back until it's been repaired. There was a severe issue starting with the ground mission on Rigel IV, where if one faced toward the center of the map the framerate would drop to slide-show levels. There's only so far you can get in firefights while continually looking out over the ocean, and of course it made finding the temporal beacon nearly impossible.

    Fix that, and I'd welcome it back, although I'll still wonder why old B'vat doesn't remember interacting with young B'vat at the end.

    I'd rather go through those older missions, personally. The old style may not have been as cinematic, but I didn't find them as much of a slog, and they weren't dominated by the Star Trek Actor of the Week the way newer ones are. Give me back the old missions, where my captain wasn't just the hired muscle, please.

    Having rolled 3 Deltra recruits on my XBOX account, I developed a severe hatred for the mission "Surface Tension". The CONSTANT interruptions to combat with those annoying cutscenes. And I do have to mention the entire Delta Rising arc...it was really nice a while ago when the patrol missions were NOT part of the arc itself. But now they are...again. And MOST of them were revamped to include a time-gated battle at the end.

    While I wouldn't go so far as to say that I hate any mission in STO as I find the game extremely cool, fun, and interesting to play, the following are those that can and do annoy the heck out of me to no end at times... :)

    * The Vault: While I actually LOVE the mission itself as it really gives' off a "Forbidden Planet" vibe for me big time (and I love that film big time too as it's one of my favorite old school sci-fi movies of all time), the ending can be a b#^&@h ride to say the least lol! The first time I tried it, I just a normal regular Starfleet shuttle, and boy was that a big mistake lolol. So far I haven't been able to get past the end of mission (eg: "The Escape") cause that damn Warbird always kills me every time even before I can leave the chamber. But eventually I will, trust me! :)

    * Any mission which forces me to play another character in the game (for obvious reasons). For while the "why's" of doing so generally make sense, creating a character you like, and leveling him/her up, just to have a mission tell you "Nope, sorry, you can't use em' in this mission" is quite annoying. That and just not being used to how to play the character itself, with its abilities and skills, doesn't help any either I must say.

    * "The Measure of Morality Pt 1": While I actually think the story is great and love playing the mission itself, as I am a new player (relatively speaking only here), I have not exactly got a great ground setup going for my character. As such, I actually die a lot when I encounter the Mirror Universe lady in the mission (I forget her name atm, but she is Rom's wife in our universe) as every time I do she heals up to full health immediately, and so far I can't get past the last part of that temporal mission as the enemies kill me every single time. Quite frustrating to say the least. :(

    Other than that, the game is great mission wise so far, but as in life nothing is perfect, so I just take the irritating things with a grain of salt most times and just press on. Thank God for the ability to skip missions though; otherwise it would/could be far worse than it is (at least for me lol)...

    For the Vault, I assume the Warbird killing you is the Mogai that's inexplicably in the next-to-last chamber on the way out (seriously, if they could fit a freaking Mogai in there, why can't I take my Sao Paulo?). If you don't have the ability to buy the Romulan Kestrel-class runabout (which has a cloak), your best bet is to sit on the left side of the chamber after you defeat the fighters and keep an eye on the warbird. It can only see you from a distance of 10 km or less; make sure it's further away than that, then head for the door and blast the lock. There'll be another set of fighters on the other side, and you may have to fight the T'liss right at the exit, but that fight's a lot easier - I think the Mogai is there to not be fought, honestly.

    Then when you get outside you'll be entering the micronebula that you passed on the way in, where you'll be assisting USS Lhasa in fighting off a D'deridex trying to run off with thalaron weapons aboard - it won't use them, they're just the macguffin. Your job is to kill fighters; they can't cloak in the nebula, but they're tiny and fast, so you have to try to point your bow in the direction of the trail they leave and use tab-targeting to hit them. You can also shoot at the D'deridex from time to time, as that seems to hurry things along a bit.

    like many other - The Vault and Dust To Dust are the ones I usually dislike because of certain mechanics and the hoops you sometimes need to jump through to complete them (and I only did them recently because like others, trying to get the various 'recruit' rewards.) On non-recruit characters I skip them.

    And in general - I skip a lot of the Delta Rising stuff because many of those missions are tooooooo loooong front to back.

    Thanks for the reply and info @jonsills. And I am totally with you on not being able to use our starship's in the mission, even though there is a Mogai in their already. Not fair (but, as in life, nothings fair, so... meh lol)! And that is a great idea about using a Romulan Runabout (with its cloak) to make things easier, but I actually figured out a good work around when you mentioned it (hopefully).

    As I have a Defiant (the free one I bought upon reaching level 65 (which IS junk imo sadly lol), I just took its cloaking device out of it, and put it into my own Runabout (which I bought some time ago). And as it can go in any slot, I just put it into my science slot and was done with it. And it works! While not as good as a Romulan one (I believe), it hopefully should be good enough to help me get threw the Vault finally (which I will attempt again this weekend).

    On a side note, I just did "Quark's Lucky Seven" mission, and I gotta say I loved it immensely! :) So much so that this was the one time I didn't mind playing with characters that were not my own as the story & adventure was most excellent. And when it's all said and done, in the end it's the good missions that make the semi-crappy ones endurable. And that's a plus in my book. :) Anywho, thanks again for the advice, though still wish me luck in doing the Vault again; cause I'm still gonna need it lol...

    Victory is Life is the best arc out of all of them. Home drags if you want the set though.

    Right? The Solanae set and the themed spacesuits are the reasons I hold my nose for "Step Between Stars".

    I have a soft spot for pretty much all mid century sci fi movies in general, so all the TOS related eps check that box for me.

    And I agree that it is quite annoying to play as anyone other than one's main character, and use someone else's ship. We all have our own play styles, and have our own ways of doing things that we're used to. Naturally, that throws things off kilter.
