Delta Quadrant Story Arc: Mission "Reunion"

First time this has happened to me, but I've seen others post about this issue elsewhere.
In the mission "Reunion" when you first land down, you follow Neelix and Tuvok down a hallway to the main area.
On the first turn through the door, Neelix jumps onto a pile of crates and completely stops walking.
If he and Tuvok don't make it to the next doorway, there is no way to trigger the next part of the mission.
I've aborted and restarted the mission several times, and even tried to stand in Neelix's way to keep him from getting near the crates,
but he still pushes past me, jumps onto the crates and stalls. So I can't complete the mission, and as a Delta Recruit, I can't get credit for completing the Delta Quadrant story arc.
