Traits tab keeps flashing

I don't know if anyone else is having this problem, but on one of my characters, a Federation Catian female, the traits tab keeps flashing despite me unselecting all traits then manually selecting every single trait on that character.

Has anyone else encountered this problem?

    Do you perhaps have an unlocked Trait slot that cannot be filled?
    e.g. All 4 starship trait slots are unlocked but you might only have 2 or 3 traits to slot. This lead the game to think you have an unslotted trait & it will flash the tab.

    I have the same "flashing Trait" tab issue, but just on one character.

    Race is alien, career is science.
    I have manually cleared all traits, and manually refilled a different trait set up and saved it, even changed ships.

    No change to the problem, Trait tab still flashes.

    Another thing to consider is if the character that has the flashing trait tab, is because that character hasn't used Elite upgrade Token. If that is the case then it might be designed this way to encourage folks to buy the upgrade.

    Do you have unlocked Trait slots that you just can't fill? For example, 3 Starship Trait slots are unlocked, but you only have 2 Traits, so one of them is empty...

    I had that issue on one toon a while ago, it went away but today appeared on another

    I have noticed the same thing happening on several of my characters. However I think I have discovered what the trigger was AND a possible solution...

    I did a bit of checking, and I noticed the "traits tab" started flashing immediately after opening a "special requisition pack" containing a new ship.
    I think this bug only occurs when opening relatively new "special requisition pack" ships boxes that have been added to the game. I know the bug has occurred for me after opening ship-boxes for the following ships at least:

    Cnidarian Defender [T6]
    Mirror Gagarin Warship [T6]

    For me, the "traits tab" continues to flash despite all my trait-slots being filled + it does not stop flashing by adding and removing traits from the slots.

    However I have found an unofficial solution to stop the "traits tab" flashing (although am not sure if it is permanent or temporary):

    (1) Go to the nearest shipyard "manage ships" contact.
    (2) Find your most recently acquired ship(s) in the ACTIVE ship roster, and actually display momentarily the ship(s) on the roster window (you don't have to actually activate the ship - just view it in the ship roster).
    (3) Go back to your main character screen, and the "traits tab" strangely should have stopped flashing. (If this doesn't work, then repeat above step for every single ship in the the ship roster, just to be sure).

    NOTE: Some other people have encountered (what appears to be) the same bug - noted on the following reddit link: https://www.reddit.com/r/sto/comments/wem470/traits_tab_flashing/

    I've also sent a bug-report to STO, and got a response saying my report has been sent to the developers.
