New character glitch

This glitch is only affecting newly created characters made after the update. For some reason the circle and R2 buttons on ground are getting swapped when a weapon is equipped. Circle is activating primary fire and R2 is activating melee.

    Happening on xbox too. However it affected all my other characters too unfortunately

    This also affected new characters made on PC but since there's much more control over keybinds, it was easily fixed with a quick drag-and-drop.
    Likely, the easy fix was why it was never bug-reported.

    This just happened after a crash on the ps5 as well, I started a character as normal. did not do the tutorial (simply because I did so many) this was working fine until that time, now my main firing mode(r2) has been switched with Melee(circle)

    i am suffering the same problem on PS with a newly created kdf toon. it`s seriously annoying and affecting gameplay as i now have to take my thumb away from aiming to fire.

    Not for characters that were already affected. Further upcoming changes will fix them.
    Any new characters being created after the last update have the buttons back to normal, though.

    so, an eta on this? i made a captain just sitting waiting to work on simply because that button switching thing has thrown me off, its hard to play one standard then suddenly change up.
