Why do they never put the other mudd bundles on sale?

I mean I'd throw some cash at some of the older bundles at 75% off, since I do the majority of events, I have a lot of the 1-off stuff already, so when I had the chance to get the Pick 3 dreadnought pack at like 80% off I dived for it, because all lockbox ships should be account unlocks, but that's beside the point.

I'd like to grab at some of the older bundles, but they refuse to do so and I don't understand why, wouldn't you want more things on sale for people to buy your things?

Best guess is that it's intended to induce FOMO - Fear of Missing Out - by insinuating that the introductory 50% off a bundles is the best you're likely to get anymore. Not exactly friendly, but Mudds is in-universe supposed to be a rip-off anyway.

They do put them back on sale, have done so a few times now, but it's not often.

Cynical marketing. The idea is, it gets people who are given to dawdling on purchasing stuff to panic buy.

I mean, the Mudd section doesn't exist most of the time for me but them adding the Kelvin bundle back drew my eye. That's the psychology.

Even at 75% off I'm not buying it, due to certain events energy bills have gone up £900 in the UK so I'm less inclined but yeah, FOMO.

I have no fear of missing out as I think account unlocks are overrated, I have 7 toons and they all fly different ships anyway. Plus having ships exclusive to certain toons means I actually play said characters to fly said ships. Outside of C-store/event ships no toon gets the same ships.

Went off on a tangent there, but the point was made.

Didn’t PC just get them all on sale with the Anniversary event? If so Console should see them soon. I think the best one is the Kelvin one, which you can get 6 really good ships out of. Most other Mudd’s bundles have 1 really good ship plus a few Space Barbies. Or 1 ship to fly, 1 ship with a killer trait or console, and the rest for theming.

The Mudd packs are ment to be rotational. Kinda like the lockboxes. Each pack has its own theme. And they do put the older packs back up every once in a while for big sales events, like in December.

I can't take it anymore! Could everyone just chill out for two seconds before something CRAZY happens again?!

Only 50% sale, same as introductory, not the 75% they've had at least once on bundles in the past. Kelvin would be pretty tempting to me at 75% off.

Mudd's is a rip off anyway, but I do understand why they do it. I mean dropping $250 USD on a pack is a bit much, when you can buy 3 or 4 entire AAA games for that price, but if people buy it, then sell it, and it's obvious people buy them. I even understand scarcity or a product. Buy it or you may lose out forever. What I don't get is the whole refusal to prorate the packs. People have been playing this game for over a decade now, and they insist on bundling items into a pack that many players already have one or two of them. For example the "It's about time pack". How many people have one or two of the items in the pack, but they insist on bundling all the items into a bloated overpriced mess, instead of offering them out piece meal, so that older players or even newer players can buy what they need, and not duplicate items they already have.

The bundles have only ever been 75% off once, and I personally think that was an accident that they chose to just leave up once they realized it. The DO periodically bring all the bundles back with the 50% off, but I wouldn't count on another 75% bundle sale happening again any time soon, if ever. If it DOES ever happen again it would probably be some time between Thanksgiving and New Years.
