Right now, the only recruitment that has nothing to offer for a significant part of the playerbase is the so-called "Gamma" recruitment since it can only be done on a niche, genderlocked race that many have no interest whatsoever in playing.
Having a recruitment that focuses on Romulans would be great since they have been pretty much ignored for years and could use a new mission or two, but Gamma is the one that is the most broken because the faction only represents Odo's extremely atypical expeditionary force, so fixing the faction to be able to represent the canon Dominion and attract more players to actually play the Gamma recruitment (and the faction in general) is more of an issue.
I see plenty of Jem'Hadar characters in-game, rocking side-to-side.
I'd love to see something specific to Romulan &/or Vulcan's in the Spirit of Ni'Var, I'd also welcome going back to New Romulus to learn a bit more. At least on the map of the Reman Caverns we see from the Staging area. Don't know if it will ever happen though... ...I'd welcome one specific Romulan Recruitment, yet most do their Delta as a Romulan, Fed, &/or Klingon. I think Klingon was primarily to boost the # of people who had a member of the KDF. Many did Romulan or have at least 1-2 simply because of their ability to recruit Superior Romulan Operatives from time to time.
Perhaps with Picard Season 2 we'll see some updates made to New Romulus, perhaps also Vulcan and some missions...
I also think the Republic is the only faction I can identify with.
After recent events in current year, I can also sympathize with the Romulan Republic, Trudeau Hakeev is a tyrant who abuses his power and is a traitor to his own people, as a Canadian myself, I have deal with overthrowing my own Hakeev.

Because we could only select Jem'Hadar. I wanted to do a female Vorta or even just alien male/female or changeling.

Pretty silly considering you only have to complete one episode to fix that....
Why bother with the episode if you don't intend to ever use the thing on ground missions? The most important stuff that becomes available to the more playable characters (which for many is the ONLY reason to make a J'H Gamma) on the account can be done just with the bugship in space, and some R&D and doffing with the rocking-side-to-side playing piece tucked away behind the floater out of sight.

A large portion of players enjoy playing as females, and you know want they say in the business world TRIBBLE sells.
Kael said no more recruitments events, but he did mention adding the Discovery faction to either Temporal or Delta.
My bet would be on Delta since it is the easiest to implement once the tutorial ended and they arrived on the "current" ESD.
On the surface Temporal would make sense thematically since both the AoY and DSC people are displaced in time, but those times and circumstances are quite different and not very compatible, which would require a serious amount of time and resources to fix so it is a lot less likely than Delta.

Even then Delta would be weird since you meet a future admiral version of yourself, the only problem is that this version of you would have to travel from the 25th century all the way back to the 23rd century to meet you in the tutorial.
Yes, i agree, Romulans need their own recruitment event, thats the perfect excuse to revamp maps, missions and ships.. ohh, god, the ships!... some are great, some.. are just boxes with wings... (i'm loking at you, T5, T6 D'Deridex!), it would be great, Romulans are fun to play, they have different mechanics to the feds, klings and Jems, i kinda like them.
Didn't they revamp the original D'deridex already?
I think they could release the smaller scimitar from the comics leading up to the kelvin movies as reward for, make it a raider, warship or a destroyer. Revamp all destroyers to work like science destroyers but with cruisers instead of science ships.
I know this comment is a bit off-topic… but I do agree that there is a lot that can be done to the Romulan starting experience similar to what they did to the Klingon tutorial. However, the KDF tutorial spans all of about 5 levels. The Romulan one is set for 20 levels (give or take). They’d need more than just a “Year” of Klingon… They’d need about 3 to 4 years to complete it, depending on how much of the ships and stuff they’ve already worked on.

they haven't redone the D'derodex entirely yet they have done parts of it and a skin that's it the Chimitar is the reman warbird not Romulan finally one person gets it right, adding a smaller one from the Comics is a bit trickly apparently, they said the same about the smaller versions of the D'deridex and the bigger versions of the T Liss so that one probably falls in the same spot unfortunately
I know about that ship and yes I know its a Reman ship but they are apart of the Romulans so honestly it would work fine as a reward.

Yes and no don't get me wrong it would for those that want but i would rather theme focus on the Romulan faction as a whole and fix and correct a lot of the stuff they did they even admitted was wrong choice. Fixes to the game itself and all of the bugs errors and problems they are having staffing issues and so forth then add more to the game that will just distract theme from those issues. Also adding variants of the D'deridex would also be nice like a smaller medium warbird version that looks like the D'deridex built is smaller for example or the other various versions of Romulan ships they could easily add if they just ask for permission.
One of the things I feel they need to fix is the facial design of a certain Yridian in the SS Xylen during the Gamma Thorid(a)r mission following the Khitomer mission (the guy is extremely cross-eyed).

There is something that may suit your fancy… I know it suits mine… The thing closest to a “mini” Scimitar is the Hathos Warbird…
