Missing 'helmets' category under head options in tailor for Saurians

I first noticed this after unlocking the Sphere Builder outfit, which I really like the look of. Looked everywhere to figure out how to equip the hood in the picture, then tried googling, Reddit confirmed there is a hood but didn't tell me what category it should be under. I tried on my bridge officers. The non-saurians can all equip it, the menu shows up fine, but neither my captain nor my one saurian bridge officer can access the type of head category it's listed under. I opened a support ticket and they confirmed it's a bug, but told me I should also add a forum post in case anyone else has the issue.
