There is a known issue that is preventing progression during the episode, “Dislodging Klingons”.
There is a known issue that is preventing progression during the episode, “Escalation” while playing as a Discovery Era Captain.
There has been a growing number of these "progress stoppers" showing up these last weeks and that's not a good thing.

  • ADMIN/MOD: Please note this thread is not being hijacked. Instead it is bringing up the point of unforeseen issues during the 12th Anniversary Event and ending Windows 7 support before the end of the event could have an issue appear that once again no one saw coming. Once event ends, support for win 7 ends (no further extension) and from the end of the event on the 24/25th forward you must run the game on what 8, 8.x, 10, and I assume 11 Windows OS only.

As I said, before it was shut down, they should hold off on taking Windows 7 away for just the extra 7, yes 7 days only. When this 12th Anniversary event is over, then and only then should they drop the support. Let me make it clear, when the 12th anniversary omega event ENDS, win 7 support ends. I too have been seeing issues, while in your journal/log ("j" key) and you go to either available or in progress the missions will sometimes start to jump up and down fast causing a slight blur but you can still read the missions. Now I have tested this on an Ivy Bridge laptop, Skylake desktop and a sandy bridge desktop. Their corresponding graphics card in order 680M, BFG 8800 GTS 640mb, EVGA 1070TI FTW 3 and MSI (but changed to alienware M17 X R4 compat) 680M, not that the brands should make any difference.

So please devs and mod, don't close this and allow the game to stay in Windows 7 and above for the last, meaning what the 24th or 25th of Feb. of the 12th Anniversary Event. That is only about 7 days those who freaked out last time, 7 days not years. XP support no, it has been gone for some time, so I am not wanting XP support back, just let Windows 7 support ride out the event.

So leave Win 7 in place for 7 days. We don't know what could happen beyond just the loss of the game loading for Windows 7, unforeseen errors, crashes or like this with the boxes opening and crashing, I am sure this was not planned by Cryptic and it caught them by surprise so lets just be careful then and wait. That way any problems would be dealt with after the 12th Anniversary is done and down time will only be the new Klingon Recruit event which they can extend if excessive downtime.

There is usually no such thing as a simple and smooth change. This box error thing I am sure wasn't or should not have occurred as I didn't know they changed the boxes in any significant manner other than adding things to the infinity box.

Please if you feel the need to attack, do it in private message to me only.
