Red Shift Terran powers bar persisting after relogging and changing captains

Not myself, but my partner having this issue. After playing as the Terran version of himself in Red Shift, when he went back to normal version of his captain, the power bar from Terran version has remained. It's still there after the patch, and after both switching captains and logging out and in again. He only has the chain lightning and agoniser brain scramble powers, none of his usual gear.
