I admit I'm at a complete loss regarding what to use it on? I normally look for something with a distinct console that can be used elsewhere or a skin that I don't have for a comparable T6 ship. But I'm kind of at a loss now. I either have most of it from recent Legendary ships or The console is something locked to that ship or group of ships, such as the various Saucer/ship separation's. I'm down to looking at the Kar'Fi just because I don't have that Fek'iri ship, the Vulcan D;Kyr just for the shuttle unlock, or the Catbus just to mess with the Stalker Fighters (are they any good?)

I'm waiting for this to come on Consoles, we're currently doing Battle for Qo'noS, I got sick of it after day 7, however Just buy whatever fits your character's theme, I got a Dkyr for my Vulcan, I might get a Cardie Ship for my Cardassian toon.

I usually just get a ship that is Purple Quality at least, then if it has a nice console or stations I consider upgrading it with the Experimental upgrade to fly.

I'd kill for an Omni Andorian. Having to use a Sensor-Linked to keep the colour scheme Still need a 2nd Blue omni though.

I ended up getting a Bortasqu' Tactical Cruiser (5 Tactical console variant and Disruptor Cannon console) because I wanted a Starcraft Battlecruiser with Yamato Cannon. Actually kinda fun to fly with the Competitive Wargames Engines (Fortified to kick on heals) and T5-U'ed. Actually seen a few more Borts than usual today, though some are T6 that pulled off one of the T5's consoles to use with it (like the pet Bird of Prey).

I still have the T5 token from last year too, and will probably get the Ranger to combine with the free Paladin I got from https://games.steelseries.com/giveaway/1175548141/star-trek-online-reflections-temporal-agent-starter-pack-giveaway

As for other suggestions:
Some have been going for the T5 Nebula to use it's stealth detection console, though that only fits the Nebula range IIRC. I've seen that console going off in friendly space a bit.

T5 Scimitar is probably the top of the line and biggest (width) of the T5s, though some players can find it a bit fragile despite it's size. Could really use a T5-U token, though those have surged in price, and unfortunately the T6-X token that'll be given away later won't work on it until it's T5-U already. Also, it unlocks the rather nice Romulan Drone Hangar pets if you have one of the Rom Carriers.

Unfortunately there's nothing worthwhile left in the T5 store for me, a lot of those ships I have the T6s and legendaries for and the unique ones such as the Tempest I already have., I guess I could get one of the Dyson ships for the other factions or the Vulcan D'kyr but there's really no point.

I think this is great. Now that there is T6, I just really can't see many players feeling the desire to spend Zen on T5. I've thought that offering T5 coupons is something that should be done more freqently. Maybe even offer them as an option for the yearly prize. Something like... Choose 1 Promo ship or 2 T6 coupons or 1500 Zen or 3(4?) T5 coupons

Yeah I was tempted by that one too but went with the Tempest. I like the Patrol Escorts.
Maybe next T5 coupon I get will be that one.

Went with the Bortasqu' Command Cruiser. Already had the tactical version. Other than the Dyson bundle and Oddy bundle there is little in Tier5 which i do not already have in my inventory.

Shame the subspace snare and autocannon cannot be used on other vessels.

Will this t5 coupon unlock the ship for account wide, or just the character I use it on? I want to finally get an excelsior but if it's character only, I need to get the character I want it for levelled up first.

The token is for zen store T5 ships, so it should be account wide

The only purpose of T5 ships right now is to complete certain ship sets, such as the Battlecruiser Set that comes from the Avenger, Arbiter and Inquiry. And even then it's only for the ships never likely to see a Legendary. We can probably safely assume there will be a Legendary Nebula and Akira at some point for example. Otherwise it is Skin or weapon unlocks, such as the Ranger skin for the Paladin, or the Cardasian Galor for the Spiral Beam disruptor unlock. They should have slashed the price of T5 ships ages ago, just to turn them into free money from Space Barbie.

They have the level-based scaling ship stats, the mastery bonuses, and the same number of weapons and consoles as a comparable T6. If T5U ships are scaling, how do you get one onto a new character prior to level 40 to take advantage of it?

T5UX is perfectly viable, I use several of them regularly (Romulan Dyson Science Destroyer, Nihydron Destroyer, and Lukari N'Kaam) without them being totally outclassed. The biggest problem is the annoying level wall keeping characters from using them from the start.
