- Consoles to be scheduled separately
- 12th anniversary party popper is Mirror Terran themed
- blog also announces Omega particle and upgrade changes from last year as "new". (obligatory error)
Comments
They are going to reveal the ship in the Ten Forward Weekly today.. then it will be published on the web, with stats and all... i'll tune in, if i remember to do so..
As funny as it is at this point... if I was a MMO developer with a reputation deserved or not for copy and paste content. (lets be honest Cryptic built their company on rapid copy and paste development its deserved) I would be a little vigilant about the press copy. I for sure would make a point of putting and end to it long before it became a running joke.
Does this guy not have a boss ? How do you let someone continue to post a min of one copy and paste error into every single announcement. Has no one above him ever bothered to point it out... or even notice. Its starting to be more sad then funny at this point.
Or I don't know... ever see James Spader and Maggie Gyllenhaal act together ? Perhaps the errors are on purpose ?
You are correct, i only hope the ship is nice.. and pretty...
Not sure how I feel about this one. On one hand, it'll be nice to not see as many farmers clogging up system space. On the otherhand, that's one less option for free players to be able to participate in the Exchange. Wording is a bit unclear whether the final product/upgrade kits will be bound or not.
Omega Upgrades are Account Bound. They did the change to the Omega Particles and Omega Upgrades to be Account Bound some time back, despite the blog saying it's new. Didn't seem to help with the lag much, which was the key player facing issue.
Oof.. shows how long it's been since I've interacted with the system..
I ask because every year I miss a least one of them.
I noticed that, too.
Let it be the first Science Carrier with Secondary Deflector and I'm all in lol
The squadron pets also resolve a few minor issues, that makes them more effective too at the 1h mark--so go watch it.

Still I really liked how this Saucer works with Warbird option, and was surprised it used a Warp Core. Perhaps that's what kael was eluding to given the power levels hinted at earlier; not a possible revised singularity with less special power abilities.

The one exciting surprising element is it's not bad maneuverability given it's size; and that it's it's a carrier. And the fix they made to Squadron's focused assault which I showed (edited) above.
Still I'm not going to go back and look at what the 2nd specialist ability is, I'll wait for the official blog likely tomorrow or friday.
Edit Lt Commander Temp Op spec
So, it's Commander Science, Lt. Commander Engineering, Lt. Commander Universal/Temporal, Lt. Science, Ensign Science/Command.
Passives:
+2.9% Critical Hit Chance (This would place it third in the highest amount of Critical Hit from a single console, IIRC)
+7.5 Aux power (OK. This is more handy for Sci and carriers than everyone)
Active:
"To Self and Allied Players within 20km:
* 20% Critical Hit chance for 5 seconds
* Resets Hangar Bay Recharge Time
To Player Hangar Pets and Summons within 20km:
* 30% Critical Hit chance for 20 seconds
* Placate Foes within 10km for 20 seconds
1 Min 40 Sec Recharge"
Seems a very nice console for carriers, and mild utility for the active on a non-carrier.
Carrier seating: Lt. Comm Uni/Temporal, Lt. Tac, Lt. Comm Eng, Commander Sci, and Ensign Sci/Command
3/3 weapons
4 device slots
4 Eng, 4 Sci, 3 Tac consoles
2x Hangars with Alliance Fighter Squadrons
Standard Shields/Deflector/Engine slots, nothing new to carriers.
Cloak (non-Battle) *Edit
Other stats I didn't see. Not gonna set the world on fire for the carrier itself, though it did seem somewhat maneuverable for a carrier on stream.
I don't recall them hitting cloak on the stream for the carrier, but it does look like it had standard cloak (i.e. out of combat only) on the hot bar.
Good to know, thanks. Pity only standard--given the Romulan half of it, I'd have expected at least battle cloak, like the Temer--but I'll take what I can get.
Oh very good then, so they did mix it up then with a focus more on Temporal instead. I remembered Command was in their yet misplaced if it was the main or secondary ability.
I suspect we'll probably see something tomorrow regarding the Ship, unless they focus on the new episode that's coming.
Pretty.
