the popper looks ok. not overdone.

and i hope they also reveal the ship via the homepage and not just FB or whatever. seriously disliking them for stuff like that.

They are going to reveal the ship in the Ten Forward Weekly today.. then it will be published on the web, with stats and all... i'll tune in, if i remember to do so..

It wouldn't be a Cryptic announcement without at least one copy and paste error.
As funny as it is at this point... if I was a MMO developer with a reputation deserved or not for copy and paste content. (lets be honest Cryptic built their company on rapid copy and paste development its deserved) I would be a little vigilant about the press copy. I for sure would make a point of putting and end to it long before it became a running joke.

Does this guy not have a boss ? How do you let someone continue to post a min of one copy and paste error into every single announcement. Has no one above him ever bothered to point it out... or even notice. Its starting to be more sad then funny at this point.
Or I don't know... ever see James Spader and Maggie Gyllenhaal act together ? Perhaps the errors are on purpose ?

hope you can. i dont have FB or twitch, and will be at work anyway...lol. i just am not a huge fan of half posts anymore. honestly, they should have waited until the reveal to post the anni details. my opinion...ymmv.

They have always announced the ship separately, and in a written blog, usually later the same week. (Though that is not always the first method, true)

You are correct, i only hope the ship is nice.. and pretty...

Beginning with this year’s update, all Omega materials will be changed to Bind-to-Account-on-Pickup, rather than being tradeable with other players.

Not sure how I feel about this one. On one hand, it'll be nice to not see as many farmers clogging up system space. On the otherhand, that's one less option for free players to be able to participate in the Exchange. Wording is a bit unclear whether the final product/upgrade kits will be bound or not.

Omega Upgrades are Account Bound. They did the change to the Omega Particles and Omega Upgrades to be Account Bound some time back, despite the blog saying it's new. Didn't seem to help with the lag much, which was the key player facing issue. :(

I'm waiting for ship info. Kael teased an upcoming carrier, but it was unclear if he meant a new lockbox ship from the current Discovery season or if he was referring to the anniversary ship.
Well, they've already done an Alliance cruiser and a raider/escort. Next ship will most likely be science focused. Most of the time, when they do an event sci ship, it ends up being a carrier. So I think it's a pretty safe bet that this'll be Kael's teased carrier.

Let it be the first Science Carrier with Secondary Deflector and I'm all in lol

C-Store Inc. is still looking for active members on the fed side. If you don't have a fleet feel free to contact me in game @stegi.

I don't think it has a secondary deflector, yet it is quite maneuverable given it's size; and it does use Warp Drive not Singularity... ...Kael said nobody figured out his clue yet, as usually he said they figure it out fairly quick. Perhaps it's the reference to lower shield power as the Starship Trait, restores each facing the second they hit 0; likely good for those who need better shields with lower power levels.

The squadron pets also resolve a few minor issues, that makes them more effective too at the 1h mark--so go watch it.

HI, will the Khitomer uniform be available again? and is there a way to get the Khitomer battlecruiser?

*sigh* Yeah, a carrier. Disappointing, but as expected. IIRC the previous two Alliance ships were command spec, so I expect this will be as well. They tend to come with antiproton weapons, I think it's a safe bet that the squadron pets will too.

Yea they showed the seating, I think it was Lt Cmdr Command Spec if memory served which I'm fine with, with a Ensign Tac as other Specialist option. It would have been great to see perhaps MW instead, yet the surprise is their adherence to Command for all 3 Anniversary Alliance ships thus far.

Still I really liked how this Saucer works with Warbird option, and was surprised it used a Warp Core. Perhaps that's what kael was eluding to given the power levels hinted at earlier; not a possible revised singularity with less special power abilities.

The one exciting surprising element is it's not bad maneuverability given it's size; and that it's it's a carrier. And the fix they made to Squadron's focused assault which I showed (edited) above.

Still I'm not going to go back and look at what the 2nd specialist ability is, I'll wait for the official blog likely tomorrow or friday.

I think it is Lyt Commander/Intel spec with a Universal/Command Ensign. The Command Ensign is probably just intended to pop in Overwhelm Emitter's or similar to proc the trait.

Edit Lt Commander Temp Op spec

The console from the new carrier certainly looks fairly worthy of grinding for the passives alone (well, unless you're at Critical Hit=Yes on all your toons).
    Passives:
+2.9% Critical Hit Chance (This would place it third in the highest amount of Critical Hit from a single console, IIRC)
+7.5 Aux power (OK. This is more handy for Sci and carriers than everyone)

    Active:
"To Self and Allied Players within 20km:
    * 20% Critical Hit chance for 5 seconds
    * Resets Hangar Bay Recharge Time
To Player Hangar Pets and Summons within 20km:
    * 30% Critical Hit chance for 20 seconds
    * Placate Foes within 10km for 20 seconds
    1 Min 40 Sec Recharge"

Seems a very nice console for carriers, and mild utility for the active on a non-carrier.

Carrier seating: Lt. Comm Uni/Temporal, Lt. Tac, Lt. Comm Eng, Commander Sci, and Ensign Sci/Command
    3/3 weapons
    4 device slots
    4 Eng, 4 Sci, 3 Tac consoles
2x Hangars with Alliance Fighter Squadrons
Standard Shields/Deflector/Engine slots, nothing new to carriers.
    Cloak (non-Battle) *Edit

Other stats I didn't see. Not gonna set the world on fire for the carrier itself, though it did seem somewhat maneuverable for a carrier on stream.

Does the ship have cloak? Both prior Alliance ships do, and with the obvious Romulan influences I'd be surprised if this one didn't, but it'd be nice to have confirmation.

I don't recall them hitting cloak on the stream for the carrier, but it does look like it had standard cloak (i.e. out of combat only) on the hot bar.

Good to know, thanks. Pity only standard--given the Romulan half of it, I'd have expected at least battle cloak, like the Temer--but I'll take what I can get.

Oh very good then, so they did mix it up then with a focus more on Temporal instead. I remembered Command was in their yet misplaced if it was the main or secondary ability. :)
so is there an actual link for the ship? i mean...it seems nothing got updated to reflect the 'big' reveal

I suspect we'll probably see something tomorrow regarding the Ship, unless they focus on the new episode that's coming.
