Saturn Science Spearhead
Star Trek Online =/\=

The Saturn Class Science Spearhead, from Star Trek Discovery Season 3, is coming to Star Trek Online as part of the Infinity Lock Box!

Question: Why don't they just start putting all the ships in some kind of TRIBBLE loot crate?? :: #exasperated ::
RA / Theta.Nine
"Whoever is designing these ships, like this one and the so-called "Kirk-class" should be tarred and feathered as often as is possible. I'm glad this is a lock-box ship. It means we shouldn't see many of them; for that, I am THANKFUL! 😀🤣😅😶🤨😫😣 Kill Me Now!!"

"I remember the good old days when a starship built by the UFP and Starfleet were simple: one primary hull, one secondary hull. Then of course where the pylons that connected the warp nacelles to either the primary or secondary hulls. Also, if shuttles were not needed by the ship it would have zero hangar bays. If they were needed the ship would have one primary shuttle bay and perhaps one-to-three other shuttle craft bays."

"That was pretty much it for 24th century ships, including the UFP, Starfleet, the KDF and the RSE. Also, the Romulan Republic in the mid-24th century and beyond."

"You can't change the laws of physics, Laddie!" -- Chief Engineer Montgomery Scott, U.S.S Enterprise: NCC-1701, and U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701-A.

It is actually a perfectly good (smaller class of) Ori ship with its main power system on the fritz and no DSC 32c floaty bits. It is a nice change from the other ships shown in DSC lately, the biggest problem is what the hell is a Stargate aesthetics ship doing in Trek? And why is a Stargate style ship the most reasonable looking ship of the new bunch?

I suspect the main reason for the floating nacelles on the others is that the original models did not have the distinctive Trek nacelles and the DSC team did not want to have to figure out how to modify the meshes to connect nacelles to them with struts (and just shoving something like that into a mesh like a meat thermometer into a turkey sometimes causes annoying glitches or other complications when trying to animate it).

Well, Dug Drexler said he wanted to make a ship with floating engines as well. Like blue tooth to the ultimate level.
i'm fine with floating engines, I'm working on aship design myself that features floating engines.

Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic. <-THIS.

The included console is called Chakram Projector. Although, looking at it closer and reading General Discussions' thread on this ship, it does look more like a toilet seat.

It reminds me of the stun stick the cops carry in Demolition Man. Be Well.
