Gravimetric Scientist ceases to function while Imperial Rift Set is in use.

A couple of months ago I had already reported about a bug, which prevents my gravimetric scientist from spawning additional Gravity Wells.
I did several tests and I can now confirm, that the Imperial Rift Space Set is for some reason conflicting with this particular duty officer, respectively his function. As soon as you equip the set (at least the full set) the Gravimetric Scientist will no longer spawn any additional Gravity Wells. Tried this on several missions for several hours. As soon as you unequip the Imperial Rift Set the Gravimetric Scientist starts to work again normally.
Would be nice, if this got fixed.
