STO on external drive, won't start

I had to replace my computer with another one that has a smaller internal drive. After restoring everything, I installed Arc and STO on a 2TB external solid state drive. When I installed the game, I was notified that the drive was formatted in EXFAT32 and gameplay may be affected; not sure what that means.

The game is fully installed now, but I can't get it to start. The most it will do is freeze on a black screen where I have to force the game client to quit. Do I need to reformat the drive to something else? If so, what and how?

Can most prob help sort out the black screen. On launcher go into options and just below GAME in the command line enter
-ArcOverlayEnable 0
As for the EXFAT question sorry I can't assist

Hi, I have been having the issue with it freezing on black screen. I have done a fresh install and it continued to do it after that. My fix for this was to go to options and select force verify. It loads up for me when doing that but I have to do it every time. =(. Hope this helps
