Make major changes to a critical monetization mechanic for a single player who's some combination of stubborn, arrogant, or stupid to use the solutions already provided in the game. Yeah, that's totally going to happen.
Hey they make changes weekly and major Changes Monthly all the time. and this was only a Suggestion it provides a small dill and Zen sinks.

It's NOT an example of a dilithium sink though.
A dilithium sink is something that takes dilithium OUT of the economy. For instance, Fleet holdings used to be a viable sink, since it was needed to build the fleet up. Upgrading used to be another sink. Phoenix boxes USED to be a sink until they became barely a dent on the exchange.
What you suggest doesn't take any dilithium away. It only adds to your stockpile. You want to have something that will make you clear out your stockpile right?
