KDF Recruit Cannot Progress Melee kills or post Cloak ambush kills.

For a few months the KDF Recruit event character I made has not been able to progress melee kills or post cloak ambush kills. At the time in game and on the forums I saw others mention this and I posted in a thread concerning this. I know I am properly using cloak and defeating within the time period as I had progressed a decent bit already on both trackers. I sent an in game report then and recently. Both times I was told there is no news on this and they could not help and to post here on the forums.

This has pretty much stopped me playing as I only log in to do any daily event requirements. I'd like to be able to complete the KDF Recruit event but I cannot. Any help would be appreciated. I have respeced my character twice. Changed traits and ships and BOFFs. Nothing has helped.

Yep - same boat - on my Klingon recruit the melee counter has been sitting steadily at 684 for me all day, despite using various melee (physical damage) weapons or even my bare hands. As I'm playing in a Fed starship right now, I haven't been checking the cloak ambush one.

I'm a little worried about my specialisation points too - I think it's been sitting at 34 out of 45 all day as well despite levelling up about three times - that being said, I didn't specifically note that one, so maybe it's okay. Will check the next time I level.

Edit: No, the specialisation points are moving up. It's just the melee kills one which isn't moving at all.

Support told me to go post here on this one, because apparently this takes priority over the /bug command in game (which is a VERY odd way of doing it).

Still no change for my character on melee kills or post cloak ambush kills. Unable to make progress on that achievement - have tried swapping weapons, unequipping, sending crew to the corner etc.

Mine is still bugged... My Klingon Recruit Melee attacks don't add to the melee counter, and Ship kills from stealth, in space combat, don't add to the ambush counter, either.... Was the issue ever resolved???

No. It doesn’t seem like it was resolved. Some things seem to have triggered it early on like using the traits like “hunter’s instinct.” Although we don’t know the cause, it doesn’t seem to have affected every character. As annoying as it is. Your best bet may be to try again with a new toon at the next recruitment event.

I am sorry I don’t have a better solution for this. This is one of the many things that were added in a broken state and it seems less likely that it will be fixed. Maybe in another decade when we get the next “Year of Klingon.”

I still have both issues as well on PC. Put in a bug and told to submit here as well. I have not found any newer posts to add this to so here it is
