Game freeze in mission 'Warriors of the Empire'

So I am not gonna full test this cause I already can't requip my gear... here is what is happening:
I have made it inside the mycelial network, just loaded in.
I have an issue with this character where unless I unequip and requip my ground gear every time I change maps it deals next to zero damage and feels like I am playing on elite elite elite elite.... so I did...
Gear came off fine, but every time I go to put my kit frame back on the game screams and crashes to dashboard after a couple of minutes.
Additional notes:
Captain: Klingon recruit>KDF obviously>Alien>Female
Kit frame: just a regular old crafted one....
I will make an additional post about the damage thing since I love writing and never feeling heard...
