legendary D7 weapons

I'm currently using the terran disruptors, when firing from the D7 they are displaying the firing size as if from a much larger ship. Shouldn't the weapons scale size be to that of the ship they are mounted to. They weapons fired from the D7 are larger that the ship firing them, instead of being larger than the ship. Maybe the ship scale needs to be increased. Thank You
