I am sick of discovery show ships and items being added to the game. I'd rather see more of the canon timeline ie {tos tmp tng ds9 voy}
Discovery IS part of the canon prime timeline. CBS makes the decision of what is and is not canon, no one else. Most of the older designs already have T6s though, and the Steamrunner and Oberth have both recently been teased for a future release. Discovery is new and is helping to attract new players, so ships from that show are going to be given priority, if you don't want them then simply don't buy them.
Unfortunately for OP, Cryptic mentioned that CBS gave them a lot of Discovery ship models to work with at the start of Disco's recent season, which only means more Disco ships following the Janeway, Jovian, and Book's Frigate. As well, the main story content is looking to be more Disco too, since Cryptic also mentioned having asked CBS for some lore-related details to make future story content with.
But fret not, Cryptic also said they're looking into working in some Lower Deck stuff too, and they recently refreshed the Andromeda's skin, modeled out a new T6 Oberth, and a T6 Steamrunner.
They also previously mentioned they might revisit the Terran Empire story they started, so there's a small chance of at least getting T6 Mirror ships for less-popular ship types (Patrol Escort, DSSV, Achilles, etc), given that they've already marketed the Terran Legendary Gal-X (as opposed to a normal Legendary Gal-X). Could give all the Mirror ships a bit of a model and skin update, and make back some of that effort via Mirror Cross-Faction packs.
And if we're lucky, we'll get ships from SNW (ETA 2022), S31 (TBA), Picard (ETA 2022), that one CG Trek cartoon, and maybe Kelvin Movie IV (ETA 2023), given all of those are in the pipelines.
I have doubts about whether SNW will actually contribute anything to the TOS era, so far Kurtzman's people have shown a distinct lack of understanding of TOS, and many of them (including the chief set designer) have expressed nothing but contempt for it.
More likely it will be more like a continuation of the DSC stuff but with a crew and hero ship that is somewhat less objectionable to the most vocal segment of the traditional fanbase than DSC itself was. Same with Section-31 if they ever actually make it.
I disagree OP. I can’t get enough of Discovery ships and can’t wait to see more of them added to game. With the exception of the Nova, ships from the obsolete shows {tos tmp tng ds9 voy} are well enough represented already with no further additions needed.

I have not seen a third season DSC ship I like so far (with the possible exception of the flying saucer with the forest inside, it does not have a Star Trek vibe at all but it is good nostalgia for Silent Running even though it does not look much like the domes), I don't mind if they make the things for the game though as long as they put out some decent looking ships too.
I’m waiting on the Saturn class. I suspect the Eisenberg class will probably be C-store

I just wish Discovery wasn't creating canon, because its canon c**p's all over the canon that came before.
Why couldn't the series just have worked within the rules? It wouldn't have taken much and then it wouldn't upset so many...and also, make the series so much worse than it is.

Just because you don’t like it’s direction does not in any way make it disrespectful to canon. Discovery is very mindful of the lore, just people that don’t like the decisions love to cry about it. They even try and push the line that Discovery is the only Trek that retcons it’s lore when that kind of thing has been happening for decades.
Nothing more then people just deciding they hate something and inventing reasons to validate that feeling.

I don't want to create the umpteenth thread about the issue, but when the Klingons discard their dead because the soul is more important, why create a ship of coffins?
Why hologram communication superior to what DS9 got brand new and that limited the Doctor for years on Voyager?
That list could go on and on and it wouldn't take taken a lot of effort to respect what came before and not just go off on a tangent that only those who beloved Star Trek can fight to explain, justify or look the other way about.

Simple answer. Don't like it stop playing. No one is forcing you to get the Disco stuff. It's mostly in gamble to win boxes anyway. So if you want to gamble your real cash in the hope you may get something that's upto you

You can punch holes the size of Jupiter into any Star Trek series from TOS all the way up to Picard.
Inconsistency is a defining trait of Star Trek, always has been. I won't try and say Discovery is perfect, it's not.. my only point is that none of it is. Plot holes are not unique to the newer series, not by a long shot.

Good advice! I follow that as well. I am no fan of Discovery, Picard, or Kelvin content. So I do not buy it and ignore as much STO game content that includes it as much as possible. I feel no loss by ignoring it or just considering it an alternate universe like the Mirror universe.
People who like it, buy it and play it. People who do not, avoid it. STO has broad enough content to keep a broad fan base happy.
If the Discovery content brings in more players and it generates more revenue for Cryptic, that is a good thing for STO.

It's clearly obvious that they are asking for some non-discovery ships to be released for a change, we haven't had many for a while now outside of the Titan. You clearly haven't thought out your response that well and are assuming they are buying things they don't want.

Well it is a bit hard to do this since the stuff is still being shoehorned into current story missions.

It is good advice. What I think is better is to explain why you don't like it. That isn't too useful when you just dislike the show, unfortunately.
Personally, I don't like most ST:D designs at all, however there are a couple that I do like just the way they are, the "Donnie" and the modified Defiant are both pretty good looking ships to my eye.
For most other Star fleet ships the big issue I have with them is the jagged, blocky lines they all have. There's nothing graceful there. They are ugly to me and just painful to look at, like they are knock off products in some other industry. Klingon ships are all hideous.
If Cryptic actually gave these alternate forms that smoothed and rounded them out and gave them a more TOS or TNG era aesthetic, I'd probably like several of them quite a lot. Unfortunately they seem to give an alternate skin but little change to the model.

Things other than Discovery items will get added as and when they become relevant to in game (mostly). At the moment. I'm sure once Lower Decks restarts we will see more items pertaining to that show in game. The same for Picard. But asking for all Discovery content NOT to be included (which yes the OP has a right to voice their opinion) is a bit of a tall order. I am also correct in saying that the majority of Disco stuff is tucked away in Lock Boxes so the likelihood of them getting it is slim so Don't gamble on R & D boxes that contain Disco things etc.
Cryptic will make what they make, and players will vote with their wallets to determine if Cryptic will continue to make Disco junk. I have voted with my wallet by keeping it closed, and anyone who is dissatisfied with the way things are going in the game, including ship releases, should do the same.
Of course, the currently-running shows are going to get the love. Cryptic is, of course, going to capitalize on the "newness" while it is fresh on everyone's mind. They're not going to forget about what we could call "old" stuff. They're just going to use it for filler when there's really nothing new to throw out to us. Or, when they just want to throw out a curve ball.
Frustrating for those who want things other than DSC to be added to the game? Yes!
Does it mean people need to be bashed for stating their frustration? No!

I don't want to create the umpteenth thread about the issue, but when the Klingons discard their dead because the soul is more important, why create a ship of coffins?
Why are you assuming that all Klingons are one singular cultural monolith, and have been ever since defeating the Hur'q? I mean, here on Earth we have cultures that bury the dead, cultures that incinerate the dead, and cultures that place the dead into memorial structures. In the past, we've had cultures that placed the dead on platforms exposed to the elements, that mummified them, that simply cast bodies into mass graves (that last usually because there were too many to bury individually, admittedly, as in the Great Plague). Why is it so improbable that there was a time when mummification might have been common, or that the Klingons might have gone through a period when a deceased warrior might have been able to provide his ship one last service by becoming part of its armor?
As for holograms, mostly what limited the Doctor in VOY was the fact that everyone assumed by then that "hologram" included the ability to manipulate objects as though there were a body involved. The holos you see in DSC are simply light, with sound provided by speakers, differing from our current technology primarily in that they can be seen as if free-standing and can operate in realtime.
Now, if SNW brings us such holos, you'll have room to complain - it was specified in DSC that the Enterprise under Pike had had its holographic comms suite stripped out, as it was causing interference with other ship's systems.

Actually, they thought that everyone would gobble it up, as if it was like another TV show, which only lasted for two seasons which did not get any new content until that show was rebooted: Battlestar Galactica.
It wasn't until the start of the second season did they actually try something to pay homage (loosely) to the TOS era. Going to the 32nd Century (which they should have started Discovery in the first place) was the best way to not have to worry about past canon.

Cryptic is a business. Enough players want these ships that they will keep selling them and making more.
DSC ships are paying for salaries and servers so that you can keep playing STO without paying a monthly fee and an add-on free for expansions. Be grateful for the DSC ships.
I prefer TOS myself, and Cryptic has given us the TOS Connie in several versions along with the other TOS skins for T6 ships introduced with AoY. Do you own all of the existing TOS ships?
