To date, the Breen do not have a dedicated Science Vessel. So I submitted for consideration to Cryptic requesting a Breen Science Dreadnought be 2021's Winter Event. They can simply copy the Cardassian Science Dreadnought stats, along with Breen bridge and a Breen type skin to the ship's outer hull.
Might nearly be April....but they've most likely decided on the Winter Ship.
"You don't want to patrol!? You don't want to escort!? You don't want to defend the Federation's Starbases!? Then why are you flying my Starships!? If you were a Klingon you'd be killed on the spot, but lucky for you.....you WERE in Starfleet. Let's see how New Zealand Penal Colony suits you." Adm A. Necheyev.

This, infact they're probably working on concept art for the 2022 Anniversary ship already.
I'd say that on certain level that's highly likely, they probably don't have the exact design figured out yet but things along the lines of "it should be this role and faction" are likely already being worked on. Most likely that ship will be a science ship that's either a UFP/Dominion, KDF/Dominion, Dominon/Romulan or UFP/Romulan mix (as we got a UFP/KDF mix cruiser and KDF/Romulan mix raider)
I'd be happy with either a Breen or Fek'Ihri ship for Winter. A Breen true science ship would be nice, though the Sarr Theln science carrier is great too.
I suspect that it will be another Fek'Ihri ship, maybe an escort.
they already had the escort no? unless that was a straight mudd deal. i only know about the past two winters. took some time off.
The S'torr warship, yeah. 'Course, "warship" is kind of hybrid of escort and cruiser, with the former's mobility and the latter's weapon loadout, so I guess and argument could be made that we don't have a "true" Fek'Ihri escort yet.

I think the Sarr Theln Carrier is considered the Science Ship of the Breen set. While not a full Science ship it has a heavy science lean and I wanna say subsystem targeting? https://sto.fandom.com/wiki/Breen_Sarr_Theln_Carrier
Yup. Subsystem Targeting.
I can't take it anymore! Could everyone just chill out for two seconds before something CRAZY happens again?!

It's a great science ship except for the lack of a secondary deflector, and the Breen frigate pets do a good job if you have the frigate to unlock them.
My guess is that the next winter ship will be a Fek'lhri raider, which will also double as a frigate pet unlock for the two carriers. I would like to the Breen and Fek'lhri get true science ships, but the devs don't tend to give science ships to the more aggressive species in STO. Although I would argue that scout ships would be ideally suited to both the Breen and Fek'lhri
I still wish Cryptic would just implement an option in the reward box for choosing which event ship to unlock for the account per event.
I know some at Cryptic luv their "exclusivity" & fear-of-missing-out (FOMO) tactics but at this stage of STO's tenure it wouldn't hurt the game & I think it'd be more beneficial to players & the game overall.
I'm hoping Cryptic does something similar to that Elachi Qulash Frigate, that was such a cool & good package. I've really grown to enjoy that ship on 1 of my toons too.
I weary of warships being designated as "science" ships. A science ship would be built for SCIENCE (gasp!), not battle. Science "destroyer," science "dreadnought..." it all sounds ridiculous to me.
And yet, science is what is best in life. Your gravity wells will crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and let you hear the lamentation of the women through the comms. As they too are crushed.
My guess would be the Fer'jai Frigate or Drek'Hi Dreadnought. The S'torr and Fe'rang are both Tac focused, and the Gok'tad/Kar'fi is a science carrier. So I think it would be past time for an engineer focused Fek'lhri ship. (Even though they don't have a true science ship with secondary deflector.)
I'm not really sure what kind of Science ship would really fit the breen at this point; a Science Dreadnought feels a little to same-ish to both the Rezreth and the Sarr Theln. I'd say a scout ship, but the Plesh Tral/Brekk is already covering the Flanking stuff.
That said, honestly, I want to see the Jem Hadar get a proper(SecDec) Science Vessel before anything else really. As a counterpart to the T6 Nova, a standalone, or even something like a T6 Dyson variant.

It's not that...it's cryptic wanting you to spend millions of dilithium to get a epic token out of the phoenix box.

Having such an option once, or maybe even twice, a year depending upon the event(s) used for such a proposal I don't think would deter the usage of the Phoenix Box mechanic.

That's not the point...they can either give you one for free with a simple grind or let you chase the carrot on a stick and potentially lose millions in dilithium
The latter is more profitable for cryptic

It isn't a: "they can either" situation it is just currently that's Cryptic's decision. Cryptic could offer both & I'm saying I doubt there'd be any significant decrease in the dilithium investment into Phoenix Boxes which I doubt, knowing the horrid odds, many are tossing millions of dilithium at solely for the ships, but instead the smaller items & the upgrades.
I'm still hoping for something Andorian for a change.
I honestly didn't care for the Fekiri ships. There've already been plenty of Breen ships - no dedicated science ships perhaps, but some of them aren't too bad to use a science build on.
Now that Klingons can fly all Fed and related species' ships anyway, the argument that it would be strange to have Klingons flying ships of a key member of the Federation is no longer valid. So this would be a good time to give the Andorians some new designs.
Andorian designs might be interesting too. I do like the looks of the Andorian ships we have so far in this game.
Yeah what we've seen in-game or in canon (pre-2500 at least) for Andorians have been fairly light ships, so it would be interesting to what Andorian cruiser or battleship would look like. I mean we've seen Vulcan cruisers (well 22nd century ones at least) and it does seem odd to me if Andorian had no heavy ships what so ever even if those were just "orbital defense" ships with limited range.

If they go by fours like the Breen then 2022 we could get something different.
