Bio-Essence Transfer kit module Counts enemies as both Allies and Enemy

After some testing in Nimbus, I have noticed that the Bio-Essence Transfer treats the enemies as both an Ally and an Enemy.
Medical Vanguard seems to only trigger when I use the Bio-Essence Transfer on the enemies, but I have also noticed that it also activates the "To Absent Friends" personal ground trait on the enemies.
Bio-Essence Transfer is activating these 2 traits on all types of enemies.
