Mission crash: Leap of Faith

The mission crashes at the start of the cinematic when you are done on the ferry. Logging in on the same character after the crash, will cause the game to instantly crash again. Logging on to a different character will fix the login problem, but not the crashing in the mission.

This is is the 3rd mission to have a crashing problem, afaik.

I can confirm having this problem as well. If it helps, it's a PS4 non-Pro non-Slim (my son says it's an "OG" version). I'd post a video of it, but the PlayStation doesn't allow capturing the video on the HD/SSD after a crash. It does allow a short clip of the crash to be attached with the PlayStation's bug reporting system, though, which I always send in... not sure if the STO staff actually get those reports, though. Been reporting almost every time the game crashes when trying to load the DS9 interior map, and it still crashes 25% - 33% of the time.

I always send footage through PS4 report after a crash too. I never had a problem on DS9, though.

    Same issue here, as well.

Are you using a PlayStation 4 Pro or PlayStation 5? And can you park multiple characters inside DS9, then switch through them without the game crashing? If so, then I think we've figured out the issue for those of us that do crash when entering the DS9 ground map.

I apologize for the minor "thread jack."

I have a regular, old PS4. How many characters I need there to try replicate your crash?

I get the crash with no characters previously parked there, and me just trying to get to the Ferengi Trader. It's just that having several there seems to raise the occurrence. But maybe three or four would be enough, since the crash happens like 25% of the time. I think you'll get it then. If not, I don't know how you've never gotten it. I've asked around and dozens of people have told me they get crashes, and just avoid DS9 as an access point for Exchange/Bank/Vendors/etc., only using it for the Trader Duty Officer Assignments or when missions require going there.

Also, looks like they're fixing it soon (or already have by the time some have read this)! https://www.arcgames.com/en/games/star-trek-online/news/detail/11484943

I would try three or four, since it seems to happen 25% of the time for me (even without any other characters previously parked/logged there).

Also, looks like they'll be fixing the Afterlife and Leap of Faith missions today: https://www.arcgames.com/en/games/star-trek-online/news/detail/11484943
