Orion color pattern looks broken on B'rel parts

I took this screenshot of the orion color pattern on B'rel parts. It looks like a disjointed mess. In fact, very few color patterns seem to be compatible with the B'rel parts. mmkoZCl.jpg Is this a bug or intentional?
