There are no two-hangar carriers with a secondary deflector. It was supposed to be their "special feature" to the exclusion of others (experimental weapon, secondary deflector, cruiser commands, etc.)

Only the developers then screwed it up by adding a second hangar to the (previously-called) Flight Deck Cruisers, making such equal to non-carrier cruisers. So the limitation - which is still in place on tac and sci carriers - now makes no sense.

this. and yet they dont make a change or offer something. lol

Plenty of easy ways to fix it...but they seem content for Sci carriers to just remain inferior.

Make a new ship package that gives the ship or the carrier pets some buffs, simple fix...but they can't even be bothered to do that,

But Sci-Carriers do have one thing that other carriers do not: Subsystem Targeting.

Don't we all just love Subsystem Targeting?

/sarcasm because I know I don't use it, even on my Sci ships.

Personally I do think that as powerful as Secondary Deflectors are, maybe they should be exclusive to fully sci ships, and if that's the case, then I'd like to see some sort of Carrier Synergy system put in. Maybe flanking bonus for pets based on positioning, or improve the Attack, Escort, Intercept commands.

Pets with heavy cannons can barely keep them on target...it would be a miracle to get them to attack somethings rear arc

I personally just think they should add a new ship trait package...drop armored hull and advanced shield systems and add a new trait that buffs pet defense and one that buffs pet offense. Easy solution without having to add any real new mechanics...trouble is the devs really don't care about the game, all they care about is keeping things exactly the same while only adding more stuff to buy

When Dev's don't "Care" about the hand that feeds them... that is usually when I Exodus. It is a shame, the game had potential if their Dev's were passionate about it. Maybe they are stuck at there jobs with no end in sight and frankly are burnt out, or its a horrible work environment. No one knows that isn't part of the team, and what I can show you of an older game still passionate about what they made check this out!

I find this sort of thing above and beyond engaging towards the community gaming environment. STILL on PS3 Servers are full they have to add more because They have Queue times to log in all day/night Long. Yeah I am totting another game, but I am pointing out a very drastic point of where to put your $$ where it makes a difference here. and if it doesn't affect How they push their products. Meh Later Skaters!

If the sci-versions of subsystem targeting wasn't linked with other weapon-enhancement modes...

Decoupling the science version of subsystem targeting from the boff-based enhancement cooldowns would definitely be a good thing, though not as good as a secondary deflector would be. I don't use them much as it is since the various tac-boff enhancements are generally better, but the engine drain one is sometimes handy with hazards like gravity wells and tyken's rifts.

Thought it was because only science ships get secondary deflectors.

Great to hear you're liking the ship! I'm really looking forward to getting mine in 12 days. I do wish it had a ensign universal but hey... it's free and I'm happy to finally get a T6 Karfi

I generally agree that carriers need to have something that actually boosts pets. However, I would object to anything to do with the carrier commands because the devs didn't even bother to port those over to the console version of the game. When I started playing on console, I just figured that carrier commands had been gotten rid of completely since I stopped playing on PC.
