Kar-Fi Battle Carrier T5-U upgrade token

So, I noticed since the Kar-Fi has become factionless, the free upgrade token to T5-U now costs. It used to be free.

Is this by design, or a bug?

I'm pretty sure that the Kar'Fi had always used required the t5-u token, which costs zen to buy.

Unless you are talking about having already upgraded to t5-u and then trying to upgrade it on another character, then it should be free.

Also not sure what you mean by free upgrade token. If you are talking about the T-X token, then it requires you to upgrade to T5-U first, if you haven't already done so before you can use the T-X token. If this is the case, it is generally better to not use it on a T5-U ship if it has a T6 version.

T5 ships from the Zen-Store have always required a token to upgrade to T5-U.
Only special event & (non-blue) lockbox ships can be upgraded to T5-U for free.
