That's weird. Cryptic blamed the summer content delay on the coof, but the winter content wasn't delayed at all. The coof's still here, and so are the restrictions. Makes me wonder what the real reason for the summer delay was.
id wager the details were true at the time. this time frame for the winter event is not out of line nor delayed really.
They probably rushed YOK pt 2 to work on the winter event ahead of time.

It could be because people keep complaining about event burnout, though that really does not apply to the summer and winter events since they are naturally a do-something-different thing.
And in April they started you at the Bonus Dilithium level you were at when Winter ended last January. They also maintained the older 2,500 incremental Daily Dilitium Bonus paridigm (max 25k). This year they would have had to change the Event to use the new 1,000 increment starting at 8k.
Its funny though that when they changed to the 1k increment they removed the upper cap, though back in the Summer they did reinstitute a cap but it is so high that unless you buy out and they have Reruns of Events later in the year, you still couldn't reach it.
