    Well true, he did. But pretty sure Mr Drexler designed the Defiant Pathfinder which ended up being the 'foundation' on which the Nova class was built.

    Or it may be that he did the illustration for it - I don't recall; the specifics were in the DS9 technical manual which haven't read for many years.

    You are both right, Sternbach designed the Nova from his old Pathfinder class "space PT boat" sketch and sent it to Eddie Robenson to build the Lightwave model, and Doug Drexler reconstructed it in vector art form in Adobe Illustrator for the DS9 Tech Manual.

    Later, Robert Bonchune modified a copy of the model for "endgame" as the refit known as "Rhode Island" in this game.
