Subspace Party Amplifiers should be negated at race starts

I know that some people might be bored with waiting for races to start (like the Powerboarder and Biathlon races), but it should be automatically Nullified at race starts. It's too much of a distraction, esp. for those who have to deal with lag/rubberbanding.

I had to reenter the race trying to get enough distance from the radius of the Subspace Party Amplifier for the Powerboarder race, and then for the Biathlon I ended up being disqualified for moving to where the rope barrier, even though I was on the race start side of the rope.

I was able to be in first place, had a bit of rubberbanding towards the end, but I was able to reach the first place banner, but since I was 'out of bounds', and there wasn't time to move 'back into position' before the start gate drop, it was all for nothing.

    I haven't noticed that a party ball has any influence on the race or server issues. When you rubber band you rubber band, it doesn't matter what actually happens on the screen. It's a connection issue.

    You can start pressing forward, hovering against the barrier once the countdown starts, then you can't miss the signal. You won't get penalized for that :)

    I haven't had a problem starting a race where party balls have been dropped, even if I'm using a toon who's forced to dance. I also wait for the countdown and time it so I 'go' just as 'go' comes up.

    I've learned to ignore most distractions that occur during the events. They don't bother me and I don't bother them. It's a vacation, let people have their fun.
    Now a LTS and loving it.
    Just because you spend money on this game, it does not entitle you to be a jerk if things don't go your way.
    I have come to the conclusion that I have a memory like Etch-A-Sketch. I shake my head and forget everything. :D

    They could probably make an exclusion zone where you can't activate them. Think they did that after numerous reports of such behavior around the Spock statues. Or was that they just "walled" them off so players couldn't climb on them...

    I would also like to see pets banned during races. The flash of light is hella distracting.

    Me either. There is no flash of light that I've noticed when pets are summoned. Unless it's that KIDD drone. Now I did unslot that since it kept falling during flying high. And they do come in with the Discovery beam in.

    Well, obviously people are buying the Amplifiers to get this madness going to begin with. Since, I see a number of people running around with sunglasses and flowers, I assume that too.

    The problem is there really isn't much to spend GPL on.
    I think I got about 10 mil on my main with nothing to buy with it...

    These things and their effects should apply only to the person who drops it.


    And the Ferengi who came up with the idea of creating an annoying item and selling both that and the item that can negate it, should be taken by the ears and thrown into a plasma storm in the badlands or something. Or a similar plasma storm created by players, since we're talking about annoying things created by them...
