Game opening on the wrong monitor even after applying fix

Ok so for about a week now ive been opening STO and it keeps trying to use my secondary monitor and even when using the in game menu to change the prefered monitor over it keeps opening on the same one so i have had to resort to changing the Gamepref file

PrefEntry GfxSettings.MonitorIndex

witch works until i turn my computer off for the day and start it up the next day where all the changes ive made have been reverted back to what they were before having my game start on the wrong screen again, is anyone able help me with e permanent fix here or is anyone else even having the same issue?

    Try running the game as Fullscreen Borderless Windowed - I have had no problems with it opening on the correct monitor in that mode.
