Uh... the 18th? Shouldn't patch day be on the 20th, the usual Thrusday?

I'm thinking as it is also slightly extended,(an extra 2 hours), it is just back end stuff, maybe to address lag and rubber banding issues.

Also it may have something to do with ARC.

Actually it's extended by three hours beyond the "standard"... starting two hours early AND ending one hour later.

It does :) You are correct. Only focused on start time.

Bug fixes are on Thursdays. New feature content drops are always on Tuesdays.
It’s been like that for 10 years. We just had a Tuesday drop on the 4th for Risa.
This update will include the new carriers. However they won't be "live" until Thursday.
Basically, it preps the game for the live push. Any last minute problems can patched again on Thurs, if necessary.
    LTS Since Beta (Jan 2010).

This is all stuff we know, thanks.

The launcher states that we have 5 hrs of downtime on the 18th. This information isn't posted anywhere else including any of their social media sites.

It also says check the forums for information and of course.. there is none.

So as usual with this 3rd rate studio, we'll all just guess. If the server goes down this morning, we'll know that the launcher was right. Cryptic continues to live up to their name.

Might get patch notes after the effect, as we have in the past

Maybe they are finally fixing the broken romulan mission where you have to find that commander guy to get the special duty officer... maybe? Or maybe they are giving us all FREE ZEN... Umm... you never know.... Its likely not any of those... But i can be hopeful... But it is a 5 hour fix 5 -10 so it must be large whatever they are doing...

Mmmm, yeah. It's about 7:30 PDT right now, so another three hours.

I guess I'll have to break out Starfleet Command to get my ST fix, so I don't go into withdrawal,,,

Yeah I noticed this yesterday too. If there are no patch notes at 12 PM EST today then I will assume it was just a server maintenance.

I assume nothing, For me its took it down strictly to reboot said server with 0 maintenance. Strictly to interrupt our gameplay :).

    The correct spelling is Lolwut?

Did the patch notes guy get the covid or something? Or, did Cryptic axe their social media people again?

My other game I play pwi also is down during this time frame, but was bought down an hour earlier, which really sucks, cause I got nothing to do. I am assuming that it is back end stuff because both games are down at the same time, which only happens when it is back end stuff.

The latter has a way much higher chance of happening. :)

I've been playing for almost that long. And normal patch day is Thursday. Its MAJOR content drops, like expansions, some major events, and story content, that come on Tuesdays. Smaller ones, like c-store ships, generally still fall on normal Thursdays.
