Would a Chalchaj'qmey be a better fit for the KDF or the Romulan Republic? They're a half Klingon and half Romulan hybrid race.

    They were in Romulan space so I would imagine maybe it was a little more logical if they were in the Republic? Plus Republic could use some new stuff. The only original thing Romulans got in years was the legendary T'liss

    But it we overlook that for a moment, it really depends on where their planet was. It was in Romulan space, so there is the question of whether or not they were impacted by the Hobus event.
