given that the epic token is so rare to obtain, i feel we should have more ships available there. also think it should be for whole account just like lock box or lobi ships. what do you guys think?

No. The Account Unlock is the 'extra reward' for taking the time to take part in the original event. As for extra ships, then the old T5U Lobi/Lockbox ships would be a great addition.

It's time to get away from the mentality that people that missed events need to be somehow punished. The Epic tokens should be account wide.
This is from someone that's done every event and has every ship. Exclusivity of items is a flaw in STO not a strength.

and not everyone needs a participation trophy, either. the lifetime perks have already been TRIBBLE, not you want to take away the exclusivity of items people spent a lot of time investing it?
Exclusivity. Sniff, sniff. I do wish the RiffRaff would keep in their place.

The reward for doing the event is you get the item guaranteed, you don't have to try for an Epic Token. You also get the item much quicker since it takes quite a while for items to migrate to the Phoenix Box.
That should be enough incentive, the Epic Unlock should be account wide. They're hard enough to get, it sounds like a reasonable request to me.
Tbh the only ship that tempted me was the Bajoran Interceptor. I've pulled 3 gold tokens, converted the other two down for more tech upgrades
And here I am still having never pulled a token beyond very rare
They don't drop often. How many are you cracking at once? I usually dump 400,000 Dilithium at a time for 100 boxes to crack. I would say after every few hundred opened, I have gotten at least one Ultra Rare token. The Epic tokens though drop even less, at least from my experience.
The first Phoenix Event, I pulled an Epic. It was broken down to two URs and a JHAS and Bulwark were purchased. I have all the Epic Ships from the Events. Since then I have only gotten one UR. Getting anything beyond VR is of a considerably less chance than getting a Lockbox Ship from a Lockbox (or Promotion Ship from a Promo Box for that matter).

Since Phoenix boxes came out I have gotten only one Epic and two UR tokens, and all three of those were during Phoenix events not the everyday bulk boxes they have now. On average it takes far longer and a lot more resources to get a ship from the Phoenix boxes than it takes for any other method. Making them account wide unlocks would not harm the market for Phoenix boxes in any way.
Exclusivity is something Cryptic threw out the window in year 1. Don't hold it up because Cryptic doesn't.
I personally see no value in an epic token if it isn't account wide, like so many other things. I have one, but it will forever take up inventory space unless they make the ships account wide or do something else with it.
Further, after all the changes they made to event ships over the years, probably the worst one is the inability to get them after they are offered. No it wasn't always like that, for a time you could run it again next year and get the previous ship. Of course they also were per character unlocks at first too, which thankfully that isn't true anymore.
Close behind that bad change, though, is locking set items to them so that no one can ever acquire that piece (realistically) if they didn't get the ship.
I have 3 epic tokens I won't ever use because 1 I don't know what ship I want on what other toon and 2 the ships are single character unlock which pretty much turns me away from even bothering to use them in the first place.
Phoenix ships should totally be unlock, In all my playing the game I've never gotten one and honestly at this point I don't know if I could even open it for worrying about what if my other toon should have it instead as it's that one shot.
I wouldn't mind the tokens not being bound as well, so they could be sold on the Exchange. When you run out of things to buy, including hundreds of Upgrade Techs. I have a friend I wouldn't mind giving my Epic Token to so he could claim a ship he missed out on before he started playing STO.

Also the infinity ships like
Instead they decided to make them overpriced unlocks in Mudd store.
While I would love to see full on account unlocks for the box and lobi ships, this kind of thing is covered under the FCT list. Please refer to the pinned post in this General Discussion forum.
Also on the exclusivity argument, I did all the events and it does not bother me if someone else gets an account wide unlock on the same ship after the fact. It has literally zero effect on my ability to play the game.
