To Hell with Honor loop

I had to delete a character that I worked very, very hard on because it became stuck in an inescapable loop that led to a playing of To Hell with Honor becoming impossible to complete.
In the final section, when you had to destroy the Walker that kept J'Ula's rift open, no matter what my team did, it kept healing back to 100%, while we all kept getting k****d!
I was content to take the 30-minute cooldown penalty and try again, so I logged out then logged back in--only to find that I WAS STILL STUCK IN THE MISSION! So, I clicked on "Abort Mission." But just as I did so--BAM!!--I was attacked, thrusting me into combat and cancelling the Abort!
Anyone having this problem?!
