Never recover ship from lev up

when I level my Klingon character up whenever I buy a new ship for him with the token it does not show up in my Owned ships
Does anybody have an idea why this is going on

Are you at the maximum number of ships allowed? When you're at the "Manage ships" person, look at the top of your screen for the "available ships" tab. If it says 6/6 or 8/8, you won't be able to claim a new ship until you either dismiss a ship or move a ship to your dry dock.
