First of all, there is a pandemic going on which is also causing this delay. Secondly, Cryptic has a small development team and they are specialized for the task that they do. Thirdly, not all patches are big, some are small and still significant even if you or anyone else does not think so. They prioritize the bug fixes. Do I wish they were more transparent? Yes. Are they fixing bugs even after a long time? Yes. Please stay calm, report bugs, and play STO.
Whilst it's disappointing to see only 2 fixes in the patch notes, it's certainly understandable given the current global situation.
Many thanks to the team!
GET HER! Shes no longer traveling at escape velocity LOL!
Unless you have something else for numbers, my research shows Cryptic as having a staff of roughly 200, probably more. A cursory glance shows them as having 4 major games that they work on, so even if the staff is divided and dedicated to each game, this still leaves us with roughly 50, give or take. This is by no means "small".
They also seem to be able to continue to work on and release new content fairly well in comparison.
I've looked back through several of their patches. Yes, they have big and small releases. Usually the big ones are merely adding new content with a few fixes to other things. They have very few patches where there is a significant number of fixes. I still see bugs in this game that were present 7+ years ago.
Ultimately, though, my comment was just that - a comment. I was not jumping on them and saying anything like "come on, what are you all doing, sleeping!?!" I was merely expressing a level of surprise. Didn't need the "First of all ... Secondly ... Thirdly" jump response, thank you.
