You will generally find most players to be insightful and helpful. Ask lots of questions this is a very knowledgeable community.

If you need any advice, feel free to ask here on the forums. I would recommend avoiding ESD Zone Chat for the most part as you are just as likely to get Trolled hardcore there, or have any actually useful advice buried under politics and other random BS.
