What clears the "Assimilation Nanotubules" debuff?

kitsubeep#7659 kitsubeep Member Posts: 6 Arc User
In Ground Combat, the new ground Borg (such as the ones that appear in the One Night in Bozeman patrol sometimes apply a debuff called Assimilation Nanotubules. I am presuming it is identical to the Borg Kit Module "Resistance Is Futile". It causes threads to tie you down and repeatedly pull you back to its location of impact for approx 5 seconds.

Is there nothing that can clear this debuff at all?

I've tried:
Science: Melorazine, Biofilter Sweep, Vascular Regenerator
Engineering: Quick Fix
Tactical: Battle Strategies
Command: Revitalize

Nothing seems to work, but I am also unsure if this is a bug or "feature".

Can someone enlighten me?

If you mean to stop yourself from being assimilated. The Immosupport Nanite Injector.

I haven't found any counter yet, except for killing an enemy fast enough.

They should modify some powers so that it can be cleared. Nanite health monitor for example should be able to clear it, and maybe things like Equipment Diagnostics, quick fix and sabotage (since they're basically little machines - though it would require them to be targetable so that may be a tricky one)

Just to name a few things for which it would make sense that they can counter this annoying ability of the Borg.

Or just remove it altogether and replace it with something that's actually harmful.

It only deals a laughable amount of damage. Besides that, it is merely annoying.

Maybe something that can disrupt holds?

Command spec: Revitalize is supposed to continuously clear debuff and control effects and it does not seem to work against it.

I can clear Assimilation easily with Biofilter Sweep and various other kit modules, but nothing seems to work on Assimilation Nanotubules.

I'd just rather it be consistent with the rules of the rest of the game rather than being un-clearable. Even Borg Adaptation can be cleared or worked around with kinetic weaponry. Its also too fast to react to or dodge. They fire it at the first opportunity, it is not a slow projectile and has no warning unlike a grenade.

It's like a fire patch in that it continuously reapplies in an area. I think that if you can move far enough somehow you can get out of it. If you read the kit module description it mentions the radius of the area of effect. So if you get that far from center it stops.

I've actually tried this too before making the initial post because I did notice the patch on the floor, but nothing. Either the range of reapplication is unreasonably large (since its impossible to run too far from the constant pull), or nothing clears it.

I think the trick is that it applies periodically, and you have to be outside when it tries to reapply. Event he Borg at Defera do it now, got quite a bit of time with it last night when I was doing a Borg endeavor at Defera.
