Point Defense Bombardment Warhead Issue

Not sure if this a bug, glitch or what but the console on my NX Refit doesnt work the way it says in the description....
"Activating the Point Defense Bombardment Warhead will launch a warhead that will slowly travel to target's current location. Any enemy starship unfortunate enough to get within the Warhead's attack range will be repeatedly bombarded with photon torpedoes. When the warhead reaches its target, it will detonate, causing heavy kinetic damage to the target and all nearby foes."
There are no photons flying freely when it sent lovingly off to its intended target and it looks like a slow moving glowing green ball of snot akin to the fun little energy ball V'ger used in ST:TMP....Now based on the above description, my version on my console looks nothing like that and Im fairly sure its not supposed to be green...So Im thinking its nerfed in some way and a hot fix would greatly appreciated.
And yes, ive tried it up close and personal and at distance, the visual from both was the same as stated above.
