Log in time outs

The deal is, every time this night I have attempted to log in, it times out, and tells me to check my connection. However, with the exception of STO, my connection is running smooth as silk. Anyone else having log in problems despite connection working well?

I have not been able to login to ARC for the last hour. Same error message, login has timed out. Check your internet connection.

im getting it as well. for refrence my isp is charter/spectrum and i live in michigan.

I'm having the same issue login has timed out, I live in the UK so I presume it's an issue with last nights downtime.

I have a friend who managed to log in via steam,i use the arc launcher.

same issue with arc launcher here in uk!

Same thing happens to me using the ARC launcher.
However, I went to the STO directory on my computer and launched the game directly from the EXE file and that worked for me.

this is sort of a relief...getting the same. i didn't see any obvious news items in "arc news", no pinned tweet on for startrekonline mentioning availability. not really surprising. one thing one might do when doing maint is route traffic to a dummy server and write their app so that it can be fed an informational message to display. so rather than time out which is..true..something informative like "a planned downtime is in effect for login server, estimated window is: xxxx to xxxx, thank you come again" that way it hits all the people who are banging at the door
[oops! i didn't read the comment just above this! yup, i launched the exe directly and it seems to work! hmm gee arc...you had one job! :-) well, maybe it has more..i don't know, but it seems like it's not behaving well]
