Could we possibly get a countdown to cancel a sale on the exchange? Just in case players put the wrong price or amount of the object they want to sell? Sometimes the stuff sells to fast before you realize it.
Judging by the post, I assume the OP wants a 'lock out' period after you post an item before people can actually buy it. This would give the seller time to cancel the sale if they made a mistake on the posting price.
The issue I have with this is that you see the price you're charging before you hit the 'post' button so you actually already have this. Once you enter the price you're going to sell the item for, you can take as much time as you want to review the quantity sold and the price before you actually click on 'post' and put the item up for sale.
That being the case, this feature already exists. The problem is that people post the sale too quickly without properly reviewing what they're doing. No safeguard is going to help against that, people just need to post with more care.
I prefer a dialog box that says "are you sure you want to post that item for X amount?"... and that's all
I can agree with that suggestion.
This game is already wrist mangling clicky as it is (though the new reputation interface helped reduce some of the worst), and I doubt it would do any good anyway.
Bots that snap up lower priced items only to immediately repost them above some arbitrary price point are a bigger related hazard. Federation doffs on the exchange are a good example of that, they go for much higher cost than their Klingon or Romulan counterparts.
