On ps4 why can’t we reclaim our event ships on new alts.

You should be able to 'Reclaim' them from the 'Reclaim' button on the Event page in the main menu.

It will not allow on any of my alts

Please amend the title to indicate what the bug report is about. Also, if you got the event ship on your main character when it was only a character unlock and not an account unlock, you will have to try to get the event ship from the Phoenix Box. If this is not the case, make sure that the inventory of your alts is not full and that there are no items in your overflow bag. Thanks.

Perhaps you could post a screenshot illustrating the issue?
Also, Event ships are no longer reclaimable via the Reputation store, but through the Event section of the main menu and the "Reclaim Rewards" button in the interface there.

You also need to have completed the tutorial, chosen a faction if Jem'Hadar or Romulan, and (maybe?) gone forward to 2409 if TOS or Discovery.

Used to be you didn't need to have completed all these requirements, but with the ships no longer available from the Events page of the reputation, you now need to access them via the Events tab of the Journal.
This does mean having completed the tutorial & chosen a faction. I'll confirm that TOS/DSC captains also need to have jumped forward.
