After completing a TFO I was promoted in rank and was promoted to pick 1 of 3 purple officers. I picked a purple farangi tactical officer for my empty crew station but when I went to assign them it was a purple Saurian science officer.
Not sure why or how it happened but I distinctly recall selecting a tactical officer for the above stated reason.

was powered off prior to playing STO
Connected via wifi signal quality good
Did not notice any server lag at the time of incident.
